Go to the front on Deck 6 or Deck 7 outside, there is a wonderful view of the bow of the ship. We watched our departures from Cozumel and Progresso. Very cool to watch.

Just don't go... Not sure if it was just the staff or the fact that carnival just let themselves go as a company. There were several people on the trip that were on there 20+ cruise and even stated it was the worst trip they have ever taken and they will never go carnival again.

If you are a sun lover then after breakfast go find your lounge chair or hammock. The chairs are taken up by 11:00 and people place there things on them and then don't return. The chairs are not monitored as they state they are so you wait forever, or give up and go to another section of the ship that is not so relaxing to sunbathe.

I noted upon my return from cruise hiatus, the room service was not longer free after 10:00 pm, but the wings were a welcomed distraction after a long day in port. ( only 5 bucks)

You can get to the not-so secret forward decks on level 6 and 7. Just go all the way foward in the hallway, there are double doors on either side of the ship. Can be very windy.

Choose your "my time dinning" instead of a set time. This will give you more flexibility and you can eat at your own times. Also, bring nice clothes for the elegant nights! Some people say they don't want to dress up on vacation, but believe me, it is so worth it.

I was amazed that even though smoking was allowed in some of the public areas, it was NOT as smokey as other cruises I have been on! I loved the Washington Dining room staff and our cabin steward.

Deck chairs are plentiful, so do not worry about getting up early to stake your claim. You will have no problem finding a spot in the shade or the sun.

We did enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the ship which was reasonably priced and provided quite a lot of interesting info. There was a good deal of climbing and at times, that was a bit challenging.

Remember, its a cruise ship not your living room. There are always ups and downs so get over it.
