Review summary

I did enjoy some things on the cruise, but for the most part was very disappointed. I have considered another on a different line before just doing a land all inclusive. The part that can not be beat is the open ocean and how it makes you feel that is priceless!

Embarkation

1 out of 5
We had a fog delay and was to board at 1-1:30 pm but was unable to board until 4:00. I understand that fog can not be helped, but we were exhausted and frustrated from sitting at the pier waiting since about 11:30.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
I have always heard everyone rave about the food on the ship. The Wok looked really good until they ladled water in the pan and heated before serving. I choose spicy and when I received my bowl it was soupy and when I took a bit it tasted like spicy water with no flavor. The pizza was paper thin and you could hold it up and almost see thru. Guys burgers was AWESOME and so was the taco place. The buffet we have had better buffets at Casinos. Our experience in the main dining area the two times we went we found it took almost an hour and a half to finish. The servings are very small and the food was not seasoned. The drinks however were really good!!!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the evening activities however we had to choose between eating and entertainment. All the entertainment is packed into the evening hours while there is very little during the day. They had art shows and shopping etc. but nothing like night. I am not sure why some things could not be moved up to afternoon hours to ease the boredom and not pack everything into night time.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the comedy club, but seating is an issue. If you see another show you have to hurry and wait to make sure you can a spot at the club. The productions were fun as well. I maintain that my all time favorite is ANDY :)

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All the staff that we met was courteous and kind. Our room steward did an amazing job of remembering our names the first day and mine is NOT common!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was always clean and smelling nice. I was not expecting things to be from one end to the other back and forth, but I enjoyed the exercise and used stairs every time I could.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was so comfortable and clean. I have been told we are one of the few first times who can go right to a balcony, but it was amazing!! To open the door and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean was truly heaven. To never run out of hot water priceless. There was so many shelves in the bathroom for items that was the best very little clutter. I was pre warned about only one outlet so I brought a 3 outlet plug in that was handy!!

Ship tip

If you are a sun lover then after breakfast go find your lounge chair or hammock. The chairs are taken up by 11:00 and people place there things on them and then don't return. The chairs are not monitored as they state they are so you wait forever, or give up and go to another section of the ship that is not so relaxing to sunbathe.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Getting off was so simple and easy. Be prepared everyone is rushing and those who carry off have a lot of luggage. We saved the hassle checked our bags and we had no problems. We went to the theater to sit and wait comfortably after eating breakfast.
