Fun ! Fun ! Fun ! by b128731

Had a great time and will go again. The food in the buffet was my only real gripe, they get a little pushy with drinks too but not rude at all. Great value if you keep an eye on that sail and sign act. Get the hub app. Enjoy

Great Cruise! Looking forward to my next one! by tamberlyjanke

Great ship - clean and fun. Cruise was good too. Faster to the Fun is worth the purchase. Trust me on this. Embarkation took 15 minutes. Debarkation - 30 minutes. I would recommend this ship to my friends and family. Carnival is the FUN ship!

First cruise, awesome experience. by Epiphany12th

I was worried about getting seasick. I took motion sickness pills with me and only had to use them once because of a bad storm. Everything was awesome and well organized. Many fun activities to participate in for all age groups.

Carnivals meals have gone decidedly way, way down. Super disappointed in the dining changes. It’s on to different cruise lines due to the horrible meals.

Good first cruise by hoang0827

In Summary, for our first cruise with 20 members of my family, it was good. I would not say we had an exceptional first experience with all the service opportunities we encountered on the first and last day. Overall though, it was a good cruise.

As first time cruisers weren’t sure what to expect, but our experience was wonderful and exciting, I can’t wait for our next cruise.

Okay, but not worth the lines by ac1065001

Overall this experience was okay, but plagued by lines and waiting. With only one coffee stand open at a time mostly, it was a 30 minute wait to get coffee in a portable cup. The wait for a meal was never less than 10 minutes. That doesn't sound like a long time, but waiting in line every time you eat adds up, especially when it's closer to 20 minutes. The worse was the 3 hours standing in a hallway waiting to disembark. We talked with other guest who have cruised before and said this wan't normal (either it went much more quickly, or they had you wait somewhere more comfortable than a hallway) Luckily we had a lot of time before our flight, but it sounds like some people missed their flight because of this. I uploaded a photo of the crowd of people trying to get off the boat, including a poor guy carrying a stroller about the crowd down the stairs, because it was impossible to reach the elevators let alone get on one. The staff is hard working and kind, but service was terrible. I think it was poorly distributed labor, for example the tables were always immaculately clean with people busing your plate as soon as you put your fork down, but there were never enough people serving food. The food was okay, and I'd say it's pretty good considering they are cooking for thousands. Entertainment was fun but nothing I would have paid for off the ship. The ports were silly. There are these fake tourist towns with no way to leave besides carnival buses (maybe there was in Cozumel, we did an excursion that day and did not look for a taxi) but in Progresso there were only buses and no other way out (we were looking for taxis/public transit.) I did not feel like I actually visited Mexico, however I understand that a lot more people feel comfortable with that type of thing and I understand why it was that way. The worst part of the cruise was the constant upselling. I was expecting some upselling, but it got ridiculous. We paid $100 each for a massage, and then we were forced to sit through a 10 minute presentation on a detox cleanse (I got the detox cleanse, my husband got a cooling gel presentation.) I spent $100 to sit through a sales presentation (I know, the $100 was for the massage but it cheapens the experience and takes away from the relaxation having to immediately go from massage to "no thank you, I don't want any") We also did an excursion to an island where they made us sit through 20 minutes of them showing us all the merchandise available to us on the island, plus a mandatory photo. I understand that's not Carnival's fault, but it was one of their most recommended excursions. Again, overall the trip was okay. I really enjoyed laying out and reading. There were plenty of spots on the boat to lounge around. The staff really was incredibly kind and friendly. However, I will probably never go on a cruise again.

Very Relaxing Cruise by RelaxedTraveler

This was a very relaxing cruise. The two days at sea at the beginning and the end were perfect for winding down before excursions and after. The food was okay, but I wish they would enhance their buffet menu more and also have some of the other restaurants like Guys Burgers open for dinner.

Overall we had a great time on the cruise trip. It took so long to get off the ship though. Hope you can make improvement on that.

This was our first cruise and we did not know what to expect, it was wonderful! We ate and slept and spent time at the jacuzzi and we loved the nightly entertainment. Wonderful activities planned and it was good that they offered it at different times.

Wonderful Memories Made on Valor by teresa1hutton

Love the idea of a cruise. Crowds and wait time for elevators, food and drink are my one complaint. And I’d love to be longer in ports so you could have a great excursion and still have time to see the beach at the ports.
