Despite the ship being old and in need of repairs and updating, we enjoyed the cruise very much. We never had to fight for an area to relax and didn't have to use the elevator much. Our cabin was in a great location... 2 floors below the buffet and poolside!
Embarkation

We arrived in the last minute of our embarkation scheduled timeframe, but they made us go in the 'late' line anyway. The line was fairly long, but went rather quickly. I'd say it took in total about 30 minutes, including check in, before we were on the ship.

Food and Dining

We did not experience the specialty restaurants. The main dining room was excellent and so were our servers, all three of them - Redana, Puspawan, and Kevin. Not only was the food delicious with lots of choice, the entertainment was funny. Redana sang and Puspawan danced very well! Puspawan also demonstrated his skill for origami with napkins. That was a first for us! I very much like this type of dining where your party is sat at the same table each night and you get to know your wait staff and they get to know you!
Onboard Activities

My daughter's and I didn't experience too many of the onboard activities as we really go to relax and read our books! The pools were ok and clean but nothing too exciting. There was only one waterslide. Again nothing to write home about. There did seem to be plenty of space to relax poolside or to lounge in the sun. Not too many shady areas though.
Entertainment

There was only one singing/dancing/stage show which was excellent. But I wish there were stage shows every night of the cruise. We did not see any of the comedians. What we did hear of the musicians we enjoyed.
Service and Staff

Our room steward, Budi, was excellent and he was attentive. He knew our names from the second day! He introduced himself the first time we went to our cabin and ensured everything was to our liking. We saw him everyday and he made sure to say hi and ask how our day was. My daughters especially enjoyed his towel animals!
Ship Quality

It is quite obvious that the ship is old and in need of updating. There was lots of visible rust around the ship and most disappointing was the amount of rust on our balcony. You didn't dare to go on the balcony without shoes for fear of cutting your feet on the rust spots. . .
Cabin / Stateroom

Our room constantly smelled of cigarette smoke or worse, weed. Not sure how that could be, but it was present and unmistakable. My only other complaint was the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept in. It had such a deep indent. Providing a new mattress would fix this issue. Other than that, the cabin was typical for an older ship. Please install some extra charging ports!
Ship tip
Remember it's an older ship, so the decor and design is old. Lower your expectations a but and everything will be fine!
The wait for your number/letter to be called was very long. We had chosen a time of 8:45am.to disembark. But our letter didn't get called for 45 minutes after that! Other than that, disembarkation went smoothly.
