Embarkation

Paid extra for the Faster to the Fun. The room was over 3 hours late being ready, 1 piece of Luggage was 5 hours late, and the other one we had to find ourselves randomly sitting on a floor by it's self.

We asked for 2 buckets of ice, and never received even one... We had to fight to get our bad made into 2 twins even though even our paper work stated it should be. We never got extra towels like we asked. We were hardly ever in the room but they could only seem to clean it when we headed back from our early dinning. Not to mention we got locked out of our room twice. Both times it took 4 hours for them to fix it. Our safe broke 3 times.. so that was cool too. The 2nd time the door wouldn't let us in, the maintenance guy acted like we were worse than garbage. I guess I should also share how the WIFI was horrible.. We paid ahead of time for it, and the app didn't give us access to it, until the 3rd day and about probably 6th trip to guest services. They then charged us 4 $100 charges for the wifi back to back.. so that's cool too...

Ship Quality

I saw a few people slip on spilled drinks. We also laughed about a ham sandwich that some how made it over 8 hours on the stairs before someone picked it up.

Cabin / Stateroom

I covered most of this in the staff section. Did I mention that I'm 100% our steward just hung our dirty towels back up?

Ship tip

Just don't go... Not sure if it was just the staff or the fact that carnival just let themselves go as a company. There were several people on the trip that were on there 20+ cruise and even stated it was the worst trip they have ever taken and they will never go carnival again.

Tkaye you should be fine. Not every cruise or person is going to have the very best experience. My experience is just after knowing how much better the cruises can be. Going on Valor in Aug. It wasn't bad enough to keep me away. LoL

Tkaye if you go through the newsfeed you will there are tons of wonderful reviews about valor. I wouldn’t worry too much about the very few that are negative.

Oh wow. Taking my whole family on Valor this summer. Six first-time cruisers. Hope our experience is better than this or they may never want to cruise with us again!

Sorry for your bad experience on your cruise. Just remember to contact Carnival customer service and they may make it worth your while to give them another chance.

I have been in 4 cruises, and for me the Valor has been the worst; many issues too.

Yeah Valor is our least favorite ship. Mostly the service. It wasn't this bad but it wasn't like all the other ships. We are going again this year and hope it will be better than last year. We actually tried to avoid this ship but the timing was so perfect. Fingers crossed.

Sorry ur experience was bad. I’ve been in 3....Valor being the most recent & we had no issues. Great time! Don’t give up on Carnival.

Did not go out of Port Canaveral. It went out of Galveston, TX.
