The ship is old! That said it still was very clean. But the stabilizer equipment on the ship was not working so we felt every wave and swell. Because of this they had to slow down the usual speed. So it caused an excessive amount of stress for connecting flights and such. We were 2 hours late. And they had to change course so we didn’t make our last port. We were diverted to Amber Cove instead. Disappointed!!

Be prepared to have some difficulty finding a lounge chair on the upper decks on sea days. Also the Limelight lounge is simply too small to handle the crowds wanting to see the comedians. I wish they would come up with some comedy shows in the Liquid Lounge to alleviate the overcrowding.

Advice to your guest before or while booking. The staff didn’t tell me to pack the 2 bottles of wine in my checked baggage and they took it and didn’t give back at the end. Staff should make things clearer to all guest before booking. Not good.

Overall, the cruise was great and we met some awesome people. My biggest complaint was that we bought fttf and it seemed like a waste of money. Our bags didn't show until 7pm and we had dinner reservations at the steakhouse at 7. We missed hmc due to rough water, so we didn't use it there, and when we got off the ship, it didn't really save us any time there either, maybe 20 minutes.

Review of map of the ship. There are only two Decks that you can cross all the way across the ship without having to go up or down different floors to get where you need to go.

Don’t diet before trip, don’t overpack, do the excursions, get involved, get the hub app. Try different foods.

I would advise everyone to take a cruise on the sunshine. Very fun and relaxing

Always review the fun time brochure as far in advance as possible to be able to plan out your day and also enjoy the activities and entertainment on the boat to the fullest. Another tip would that excursions tend to sell out fast so if you see one that you are really interested in you want to book it before the cruise to ensure your spot.

This is a family type ship with lots of kids. If you are not comfortable with that, find another cruise line. All of the outdoor movies were rated for kids.

Get to shows/ activities early if you want a good seat or a seat at all, especially the comedy shows.

Get to the pool early on days at sea. You'll find that plenty of folks "reserve" chairs for themselves. Don't be afraid to talk with the staff if this is the case. They will remove the stuff and give you those chairs.

I would not recommend the Sunshine. My recommendation would be to pick another ship.
