Review summary

This was one of the best cruises that we have taken. The professionalism of the staff is the biggest factor that will bring us back and keep us loyal to Carnival.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
I am rating my embarkation experience 4 Stars due to the fact that our ship was 2 hours late and that caused us to have to wait around for 2 hours before we could embark.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had a great experience in the main dining room as well as at the buffet. The food was always served hot, fresh and in a timely manner. Waiters were always present to make sure we enjoyed our meals as well as to clean up immediately after we were done.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The Lido Marketplace was one of our favorite dining choices because it gave us a variety of options all under one roof.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The cruise directory Lee was by far one of the best that we have cruised with, and we have cruised with quite a bit. Everything from his accent, personal style, sense of humor, friendly personality and unlimited energy was a hit with all guests young and old. He really knew how to get the crowd going.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service that we received was by far exceptional. We looked forward to dining in the Sunset Restaurant and seeing what new act our waiters had prepared for us. Since day one all staff members that we came in contact with knew both my wife and I by our first names (and we don't have common names). In our short period of 5 days we built a relationship with our team of servers. I wayan, Supri, Daniel were all great. We had special dietary requirements and Supri always make sure to go into the kitchen and ensure that our food was prepared perfectly to our taste and standards. I Wayan came around several times during our meal to ensure that all was perfect and that we did not need anything else.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship had a beautiful unique design and common areas were always clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
There was so much to do on the ship that we did not spend a lot of time in the room. But the amount of time that we spent, the room was always clean. We especially appreciated the fact that there was a safe in the room that allowed us to lock up our values and be worry free and enjoy ourselves when not in the room. My wife liked the fact that there were several hangers that allowed us to plan out our weeks attire in advance. Most hotels and other cruise ships only give you five hangers. There were always several clean towels as well as shampoo and body soap fill to the top. It would have been nice to have an iron in the room. We loved coming back to the adorable towel animals in the evening time.

Ship tip

Always review the fun time brochure as far in advance as possible to be able to plan out your day and also enjoy the activities and entertainment on the boat to the fullest. Another tip would that excursions tend to sell out fast so if you see one that you are really interested in you want to book it before the cruise to ensure your spot.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Did not do an excursion.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Did not visit port

Weather was bad.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
This port was good. We enjoyed the opportunity to visit Atlantis which is something that we had been wanting to do for a long time. The shopping in Nassau was also by far the best compared to other islands. Our parasailing excursion cancelled due to the weather.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
We hired a tour guide that took us around freeport and enjoyed our time there. We just wish that we had a bit of a longer stay at the beach.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Our Disembarkation experience was a pleasant one. We had left our luggage in the hallway to conveniently find it waiting for us at the port. Lee was very organize and did a great job at keeping us all updated with his Disembarkation announcements. We were also able to have a fresh hot breakfast right before getting on our flight to come back home.
