My husband and I took our honeymoon on the Carnival Splendor. We were very disappointed in the customer service. We had mentioned to several people it was our honeymoon and no one acknowledge it. We also thought the food was just fair. There was the same thing pretty much everyday, and the shrimp cocktail at dinner was four little shrimp. It seem everything was an up charge. We bought the drink package which was not really worth it as I am not a big drinker. Since we were both over 21 in the same room we both had to purchase it. The ports of call were awesome except it was Thanksgiving in San Juan so everything was closed. I would not take another Carnival Cruise, but would be willing to try another cruise line. 

Being our first cruise we didn't know quite what to expect. However my family and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. The variety of food was unbelievable, a lot of activities on board and plenty of room to relax. The service was out of this world. From those who served us dinner to the steward to made our beds, they make you feel like royalty. Our room could've been a bit more spacious but we'll know better next time when booking. We were on the 1st floor which is below the deck. But it was still good. You should however familiarize yourself with all the charges especially the "mandatory" tipping of $12 per day per person which adds up to quite a bit. All in all, we had a wonderful time and definitely would be using carnival cruise lines again very soon.

We had a great time on the Carnival Splendor. There were a lot of fun activities for both adults and kids. The food and the service were amazing! W enjoyed the family friendly comedy shows and the piano bar. The pools weren't too crowded.

Our first time in cruise!! My husband, son 20 years old , daughter 15 and me!!! We are so happy with the crew, service, food..and we visitors virgin isles and Puerto Rico .... So beautiful !!

A great time. Many things to do on board and on shore, even when we were at sea there were a lot of areas to visit. The formal dining was a very nice change of pace and the food everywhere was excellent. A few incidents that occurred were bathing suits in eating areas and guests from countries were they were not taught to stand in line were not corrected. One item I would like addressed before I tour again is including FOX news in the TV line-up, Three channels of CNN is a bit much even for a liberal douche.

Let me start by saying this was our first cruise, our normal vacation is an all inclusive resort. We will continue to do the resorts in the future. I get it, you are on the boat for 2 days where you either drink yourself silly, gamble, watch shows, go to the spa, eat, or go to a pool and literally rub elbows with other cruisers. My point is, most of this costs money and in order to occupy yourself for 2 days, you spend lots of it. 

I just didn't enjoy the confinement aspect of it. Yes the boat is big but, I like being able to go anywhere and do anything I want while I am on vacation. I like big pools and being able to go to the beach at any time of the day. 

I will say though that, Kevin the Cruise Director kept us thoroughly amused. He was a hoot. We loved it when he came on the loud speaker. It was our comic relief. It really wouldn't have been the same without him. So, thanks Kevin!  

Pretty Pleasant.... I've been cruising for years and basically have seen most of the Caribbean.  We basically with different group of people which makes it "like the first time "

Everything went the way I planned it,except the nightly shows needs improvement like something from Broadway.The food was delicious also.The shore excursions needs improvement,especially in Grand Turk where the private beach was full of rocks in the shallow part .

Overall not bad. We had a wonderful time in Puerto Rico, St Thomas, and Grand Turk. Amber Cove was OK, but brand new for a port and just a place with tourist shops and a Zip line. That place needs more variety. 

The ship was great. We had the largest cabin we have ever had and it was just an ocean view.  I'm sure it was because this ship is wider than a Panamax ship so it can't go through the old Panama Canal locks. We loved the extra space.

We did the anytime dining plan which worked out well for dinner. The food was good to excellent, but overall not over the top like you get on Celebrity or Disney type cruising. There were no special buffets like a party on the pool deck or chocolate extravaganza, just the basics. Didn't expect more so it met expectations. 

Liked the "dive-in theater" at the pool. Never watched a movie, but it looked fun. 

Overall, good cruise with friendly staff who worked hard when you showed your appreciation. I would do Carnival again. 

Everything was fine but the food could had been a bit better on certain days and have more of a variety of soup choices.

As for the LGBT gathering make it more interesting like have more activities and maybe you will have a better turnout.

Nice boat. Food was very good. Room staff was acceptional. Cruise director was the worst in 20 cruises. Comedy clubs were great. Port of Domincian  and Grand Turk were phennominal. Still a great vacation and great deal.

The overall cruise was good but the ship experience would have been better if there hadn't been the smell of fuel in the cabin for the entire week.

I have been pleased with Carnival in the past and will still recommend the cruise line

First off as soon as we got our room we noticed the air didn't work ... we tried for three days to get it fixed... everyone.told us how awesome the food was going to be and it was like eating at an old country buffet everyday for 7 days... nothing healthy at all about the food..inedible eggs and fruit that I wouldn't feed my bearded dragon.... my boyfriend fell and broke 2 ribs on the bathroom step and they never even contacted us the whole.time to see if he was ok..the only good thing about this cruise was the doctor on the ship was amazing...and the islands where very nice... I can say that we will ever cruise with carnival again....

The ship was nice enough.  We found ourselves trying to find things to do everyday to occupy our time.  They didn't have may activities available.  We were very disappointed in that.  There was trivia, but the games and shows were non-existent. There was comedy at the Punchliner and that's about it. The staff was amazing as usual.  The food was pretty good. We are fans of Carnival, just was not very fond of this particular cruise.  Hopefully the cruise director will have more to do on sea days as well as day the ship docks. Carnival is cutting back on perks offered to  VIP program members and that is very disappointing.  You would think they would do whatever it takes to keep return customers.  We usually have a coupon book for gold members, not anymore.  Makes you want to consider cruising another line with a better program for return customers.  We have cruised many times and Carnival has been our cruise line of choice not sure if we will continue being loyal Carnival customers.  Staff is great, I  just feel like they don't really want to take care of the return customers.

They need updated music. The staff only worry about TIPS.

Everything was great as usual. Amazing customer service and the food was amazing 99% of the time. Our steward and dining room server were impeccable. We did have a little bit of a rough experience with the ferry to Grand Cayman. Other than that, everything was very good.

THE SHIP WAS CLEAN, THE FOOD WAS GOOD, THE SERVICE GREAT.

A PASSENGER REQUIRED EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE AND THE CAPTAIN TURNED BACK TOWARD KEY WEST.  THE COAST GUARD CAME AND AIR LIFTED THE PASSENGER AND HER TRAVEL COMPANION.  I THOUGHT IT SHOWED A GREAT DEAL OF CARE ON THE CAPTAINS PART, AND I WAS ALSO IMPRESSED THAT THE COASTGUARD WAS THERE TO SERVE.  

Although it started out a bit dicey, as the Carnival agent at embarkation did not know how to handle a Faster to the Fun participant, we were able to board the ship after a lengthy wait in line. Our cabin stewart was amazing, remembering our names from day one. Food was terrific, although we never found the Grill area to be open, and occasionally we had to do a bit of a search to find where it was being served. We were quite impressed by the pizzas though. Overall, a wonderful time, that I am looking forward to repeating as soon as possible.

we had a fantastic time. the customer service was impeccable. I very much like the way the crew is always cleaning especially the public restrooms. I have never seen clean are public bathrooms in my life. everybody is so friendly helpful. the only negative issues I have is with the coffee. they need to upgrade the coffee. The coffee at the coffee bar which you have to pay for is delicious the coffee they serve at dinner and breakfast and room service is mediocre. and the other negative issue is the drink plan we were told that you can buy one day here one day there if you wish but once I went to buy the drink plan I was told you have to buy for every day of the cruise. they should let the customers buy the drinks plan on a day to day basis. otherwise the cruise was great and we will definitely cruise with carnival again.

We have cruised on other lines, and they were all good as well, but this cruise on the Carnival Splendor was just so much fun.  Now we booked a spa room on the 11th floor right by the spa as the plan was to spend the majority of this trip utilizing the "free" items that cam with our spa room.  The thermal bath, the aroma steam room, the regular steam room and the heated lounges right in the front of the ship were spectacular.  We celebrated our birthdays with a number of spa treatments that were discounted at 20%-30%-40% for the first,second, third and so on treatments. We had two free classes (with our spa room) Pilates and yoga and we were the only two int the class so it was a comfortable private class.  We had two couple massages including one with a full facial and the other with hot rocks.  We did the Rasul scrub and worked out in the gym everyday.  The room and balcony were more than sufficient, the room steward was great.  I had a birthday decoration package ordered along with a cake which was displayed as we entered the room. Then the chocolate covered strawberries were delivered the following day.  We used room service for a couple of breakfasts and they were delivered correctly and on time.  The comedy shows were excellent, we went to 7 of them.  The variety shows were your typical musical numbers, but both the singers were great and the dancers were phenomenal.  Costumes and costume changes were amazing.  The food in the black pearl restaurant had great variety and tasted wonderful.   The lido buffet had a great variety of foods for breakfast and lunch fair.  We did not do any excursions as this trip was meant to be a true relaxing cruise.  We did get off the ship in each port, Honduras being our favorite out of all the ports. They had a beach area and hammocks, sun lounges with canopies, and beds right on the beach.  The water was crystal clear and the staff around the resort area were helpful.  I would love to be stuck in a ground hog day kind of movie where this trip would repeat over and over it would be that good.
