There was a problem with embarkation. Unfortunately noone told us what was going on and we had to wait almost 3 hours to board. Nothing was provided, not even water. Vending machine ran out of water. Everyone missed lunch and we were not compensated in any way.

The Carnival Spirit was much larger than I expected. Overall, it was decorated in a very eclectic style, each area was different. The crew was very friendly and helpful, especially our head waiter and cabin steward. The entertainment staff was great, enthusiastic and willing to have a lot of fun. The dining room was elegant, the food was well prepared and the service was excellent. We enjoyed all the shows as well.

The ship was terriffic, very large and plenty of room for everything you need to do...There were plenty of decks and observation points for whale watching...The rooms were larger on this ship and so were the bathrooms which are usually very small...I was disappointed though there was only one electrical outlet in the cabin, so when you got ready to use something you had to unplug something else....All of the ports of call were great, would have loved to have more time in Skagway though, I loved that little town, very ole west looking...All I really should say is that if you get the chance to take this trip do it you will not regret it at all, it is truly amazing...

The vacation was great. The room had plenty of room. The service on the ship was more than ample and friendly. The cruise far exceeded our expectations. The Novou Lounge supper club had great food and a very nice and reasonably priced wine list, with a very helpful wine sommiler? We also enjoyed the La Playa grill food. We will definitely cruise again!

Ship was impressive if you like Las Vegas venues and over the top commercial moments and endless promotions. Perhaps this is what cruising is all about but since this was our first cruise we were not prepared for the lousy food, the crush of 2100 plus people in what amounts to a small hotel space or the endless sales pitches. Our balcony stateroom on the top level was wonderful, the ship overall was clean and well maintained, but afternoon tea was delivered in one of the salons like sitting at a counter at Walgreens a sort of rushed affair with the staff moving on to the next event. I wouldn't call this experience gracious or refined, more like an end of season sale at Wall Mart. If we cruise again - and we met many people who adore this kind of vacation - I think we'll opt for a smaller and more intimate, in terms of size and destinations, cruise line. Carnival is in the business of moving vast amounts of people around with the efficiency of an army sargent, very impressive. The staff was very hard working but many who didn't speak English gave me the impression of false cheerfulness - anything to please the customer. It was uncomfortable to watch. We ate as many meals as we could in port.

The Ship - Carnival Spirit - was very nice. This was my first time on a Carnival Cruise and I thought the Staterooms were roomier than on another cruiseline that I had cruised in the past. We had a balcony stateroom and we had great views from the room. The ship was also decorated with alot of nice art work.

The ship was more than I expected; very elegant. The staff and crew was very friendly and most went out of their way to be helpful. Plenty of food and the best of food. The scenery was awesome and never ending; the captain and pilot went out of their way to let the guests see the scenery and take pictures. I have no reservations about recommending this cruise to everyone.

The ship was awesome, clean, well maintained , organized and perfectly run. The stateroom was clean roomy and beautiful. Claudius the room attendant was thoughtful, kind and did an excellent job as did all the staff. This is a well run ship and it was a wondeful cruise. Carnival made it very user friendly and we heard no complaints from anyone we spoke with. We thought the extras on beverages were way too high. $6.00 - $7.00 for a glass of otherwise cheap wine is ridiculous. And the uncorking of your own bottle for $10.00 is an insult. Dealing with cruises to go was an easy start as well but we never got our 200.00 shipboard credit as we were promised.

The ship was beautiful, and well taken care of. The staff was well-trained, and very responsive.

This is a very bad cruise line. We will never take carnival again

Everything about our cruise was pleasant but, only one problem my bed was very uncomfortable, my husbands bed was fine, I could hardly sleep it was so past broken down (mattress) the cabin steward tried to pad under the mattress but it was useless, I was told there were no replacement mattresses as the ship was going to be refurbished, but I did not sleep for at least 3 nights and the other nights it was uncomfortable, everything else was enjoyable but of course I was very tired when trip was finished. I will check to see the ships last refurbish date before I book another cruise!

The Spirit was wonderful. I loved sitting on the bow of the ship watching the magnificient land of Alaska. My 15 year old son said it was the best trip of his life so far and we travel often. My 12 year old daughter had the time of her life with the on board activities. They both met many new friends. My husband and I both loved the veranda.

i did enjoy the cruise but am not found of water. i was sea sick two days and don't like rough water. i did enjjoy the cruise

We had a fantastic time. The ship was very well maintained along with great staff. Cruise Director was a hoot. He is very multitalented.

the ship is so big and the activities so varied you can keep busy all the time and there is something for everyone

The ship is fairly nice. The standard Carnival style layout. Mini-golf on the top deck was neat.

The best thing about the ship is the crew.

Nice ship, clean, fun. Did not care for the forced tipping for drinks, dining, and cabin service.
