Review summary

The ship was awesome, clean, well maintained , organized and perfectly run. The stateroom was clean roomy and beautiful. Claudius the room attendant was thoughtful, kind and did an excellent job as did all the staff. This is a well run ship and it was a wondeful cruise. Carnival made it very user friendly and we heard no complaints from anyone we spoke with. We thought the extras on beverages were way too high. $6.00 - $7.00 for a glass of otherwise cheap wine is ridiculous. And the uncorking of your own bottle for $10.00 is an insult. Dealing with cruises to go was an easy start as well but we never got our 200.00 shipboard credit as we were promised.

I've never been on a cruise before so I cannot make a comparison to give "the best" rating.

We took the train ride to the summit, and this was quite nice. Beautiful and interesting. They have a 6 hr. ride but I don't think I would like to spend 6 hours on that train. The longer journey to yu to the Canadien side in the Yukon territory. Walking around the town was fun too.

Both the whale watching and the mendenhall glacier and gardens were a big treat and well worth the time and not that expensive. Good value for the money. Way too many Jewelry stores and to find that 61 out of 62 stores are owned by Carnival is a little too much monopoly for me.
Don't Miss: Don't miss the whales, they are an incredible site.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Don't Miss: The float planes were a wonderful tour but you get better rates off the ship, so pricing of tours is important or you could spend way more than is necessary

Pros: Overall quality of services

Cons: nickle and diming of things that were not included.
