We have gone on two other cruises and this one was basically the same. We didn't get to visit our last port because of weather conditions and the cruise director refunded the port taxes and tried to do some additional activities. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.

The ship was good. The rooms (we had an extended balcony) were bigger than I thought (four of us, so, still cramped, but, we got by). The food was hit and miss. I had a couple really good meals and then four of five largely mediocre meals. The shows and entertainment were good. General shows, gambling, comedy were all solidly entertaining. Activities for kids under 11 were good and inventive. For teens, not so much. My 14 year old wasn't interested in any of the activities so tended to just buddy up and walk around the ship.

The ship was gorgeous. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious and always available!

Air condiitioning in stateroom too warm and crew would not adjust due to others complaining about being too cool. No individual adjustment. Closed balcony of room from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM on 6th day of Cruise for washing of decks thus not available to use the balcony we paid for. This could have been done when at port instead of while at sea.

The ship was very clean, the staff amazingly friendly and the food was excellent most of the time. Truly a good experience for a first time cruise.

BED WAS HORRIBLE! - old and lumpy Pushy Photographers - Language barriers - service eratic - Some souveniers - not related to Alska like coconut drink cups - Polar bear - moose and pirate costumes not part of SE Alaska. Heavy on overpriced excursions - pushy jewellry sales

The Carnival Spirit was a comfortable, clean vessel. I thought the pools were a bit small, especially since we've cruised on the Triumph previously. Carnival cruise staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Comedy show was poor on this trip. Cabins were clean and everything was in working order.

Too much time on the ship and not enough time in most of the ports....activities not planned well for late diners....we were assigned a booth on the upper level of the Empire room...never met the matre'd , were very out of the loop...missed the old midnight buffet that were in the main dining room with scuptures and all...however we have been on 3 cruises to alaska and the was our least favorite.

We had a great time. The service was amazing and so was the food. There were 2 things that could be improved. One was that we were never given a layoutof the ship so we were lost a lot!! And there was such a short time in 2 of the ports that we had to rush to do anyhthing.

The ship was very nice and clean. The crew was very nice and service was great. The food was great. The on board activities at sea were not good. The shows were good but only one show in the evening and it was late. The ship spent too much time in the Tracy Arm Fiord and not enough time at Ketchican and Victoria. There is no heat in the staterooms so if you have a balcony it stays cold in the room. Overall it is a very nice cruise and great scenery. You can do a lot of relaxing.

Good cruise but could have had more of the shows earlier in the evening.

The ship was nice but we found that the decor was a little dated (the ship is ~10 years old now). The staff were very friendly, helpful, and hardworking to ensure we had a great experience.

The ship was very clean & well maintained. Our steward cleaned our cabin at least twice a day. All workers were pleasant and willing to help with questions we had.

The crew not very friendly my bed in our stateroom was completly worn out and hurt my back and they did not have a fix for the problem. the ship had a bad vibration that was not normal!

The dining staff was magnificent!!! The ship was pretty clean. There was enough room in our stateroom. The stateroom staff was pleasant. The casino staff was friendly. The bed was HARD!!! Enough food for an Army and it was good. The Captain was wise and turned around when icebergs became numerous.

Alaska was beautiful anf all the staff and crew were great. It was helpful to have a naturalist on board to explain all the great wildlife and topography. The whole experience was a ten

We recently sailed on the Carnivals Spirit to Alaska. Second time on Carnival and it does not compare to the two cruises I took on Royal Caribbean. Food was good, itinerary was as expected and shore excursions (which have nothing to do with Carnival) were great but the ship is small and the service is so-so. Several days in a row, we did not receive the daily newsletter or the form to complete for room service or fresh towels. On RC, the steward, waiters, etc. all knew our names in two days. On this cruise, employees were not very friendly at all. Entertainment in the lounges was so-so. Nothing great. I would travel on Carnival again only if Royal Caribbean did not suit my desired destinations.

We could not get anyone to properly adjust the flow of cold air into the room. It was a very cold (temperature) cruise while we were in our room - other parts of the ship were fine.
