ALASKA is GREAT

Sail Date: May 31, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Room Type: Balcony

BED WAS HORRIBLE! - old and lumpy Pushy Photographers - Language barriers - service eratic - Some souveniers - not related to Alska like coconut drink cups - Polar bear - moose and pirate costumes not part of SE Alaska. Heavy on overpriced excursions - pushy jewellry sales

Pros: The Beauty of Alaska

Cons: Cruise Ship

Recommends Carnival Spirit? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
Bed was old and lumpy - off to see a Chiropractor and get a massage
Entertainment
Cheap 2nd rate Vegas shows
Ship Quality
Dated
Food and Dining
It all tastes the same
Service and Staff
Only a few outstanding members - Languqge barriers
Skagway, Alaska
Skagway is beautiful - Mountain Goats - Bald Eagles - Virgin Territory - too bad it is held captive by overpriced restaurants and shops - Cruiselines hold interest in some.
Don't Miss: Independent Fishing Guide - Outstanding
Ketchikan, Alaska

Don't Miss: Great Museum at port within walking distance
Victoria, British Columbia
BEAUTIFUL! Would consider visiting again with more time. Too bad we only had a few hours
Don't Miss: Independent Pedi-cab Guide was INCREDIBLE!!!!
Juneau, Alaska
Junea is beautiful - otherwise same as Skagway
Don't Miss: Independent Whale Tour Guide - Outstanding
