Was not our favorite cruise to Alaska

Sail Date: May 31, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Suite

Too much time on the ship and not enough time in most of the ports....activities not planned well for late diners....we were assigned a booth on the upper level of the Empire room...never met the matre'd , were very out of the loop...missed the old midnight buffet that were in the main dining room with scuptures and all...however we have been on 3 cruises to alaska and the was our least favorite.

Pros: scenery

Cons: hospitality

Recommends Carnival Spirit? Yes!

Food and Dining
as stated..did not like the upper dining level and never met or even saw the matre'd...however our serve staff was excellent.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Entertainment
only 2 real shows...nothing like it used to be...however the comedy was very good.
Skagway, Alaska
Juneau, Alaska
whale watching....saw a large family of Killer Whales....
Ketchikan, Alaska
only there for a few hours...7 - 1 ..afraid of doing much other than shopping...
Victoria, British Columbia
Gorgeous!!! Should schedule to be there much longer....took the double decker bus trip and was very enjoyable.
