The Spirit was very nice and a good size. We especially liked the bar, lobby and pool areas.

I have taken several cruises so I am a seasoned cruiser. Believe me when I tell you that this was the absolute worst cruise I have even taken. I was actually embarrassed because I invited friends and my grown boys to go along. I have cruised Carnival before and my husband and I vowed never to cruise carnival again. My fault. I saw the rate and thought I'd give it another try. Big mistake. The cruises are so affordable you get the riff raff now. The activities stick out the most. They were terrible and it was the same thing every night. Piano bar sucked and that is usually a hot spot. There were only the house band and the kids dance club as far as bars go....that was it! Very, very disappointed. We spoke with dozens of people on board and they thought the same exact thing. I'm definitely done with Carnival. I can afford the few hundred dollars more for the better cruise lines.

We loved Carnival Spirit. Our balcony cabin was comfortable. We were in the Aft part of the ship and I think next time we will try to get a cabin closer to the middle. We felt the food was good, the buffet had a large selection. The dining room was beautiful. We had a table for 2 and the table felt isolated in a separate area from the dining room. When the wait staff danced we felt isolated from the entertainment. The ship is clean, the gym had several machines out of order. The pool areas were nice. We are non smokers and it was nice that only part of the ship permits smoking. In the evenings there is a sushi bar which we enjoyed. The entertainment was just OK. There were a couple good shows and comedy nights but other than that the entertainment seemed to consist trivia and karaoke. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this ship.

The ships are always very nice looking but splendor is alot nicer.

Decent ship, good food, most of crew were very friendly, Purser staff was condesending and insulting (one person), Future Cruise staff person was a donkey's rear (no profanity); resulted in my not buying a future cruise commitment. The Carnival Spirit is a beautiful ship! I had the greatest time of my life, & it was my first cruise. The crew is awesome & hilarious. They take very good care of their ship and genuinely care about its appearance.

My husband and I were so impressed! It was my first cruise and the ship was not too big and not too small! When we were at port we met people on the carnival splendor ship and they said it was so big it was confusing.

Beautiful ship overall. Great service and friendly people. Nice gym for working out. The jogging track on deck 10 was way too small, so mostly used the treadmill. No deck to walk all the way around the ship, so if you like to walk, you will miss that. We had a mini suite in the very back corner of the ship, deck 5. It was nice, but we constantly felt the vibration of the engine, so made it hard to sleep. The vibration was also apparent in the main dining room on deck 3, aft, for several evenings. The ship gave a stable and smooth cruise, but the vibration in the back of the ship was a little annoying at times. Entertainment was enjoyable. They offered family friendly shows.

My first impression was that the ship smelled horrible. Our stateroom was small as to be expected, however, we had a balcony room and I thought they would be a bit bigger. The decor was very eclectic, and aside from the naked women pictures it was ok.

We took the Carnival Spirit on a 5 day cruise to Cabo San Lucas. Very good food up on the Lido Deck. We had a balcony cabin which was the fist on up at the bow and it had a large intake grill that made the balcony uncomfortable and noisey to use. Entertainment and comedy club acts were first rate. The tendering to the port was extremely slow. Cabo has lots to do. Your time dining was great. Service was excellent everywhere. Good value for the money.

A perfect family 5 day cruise vacation

things improved once we finally got on the ship, boarding 1st time was a horror. lines for luggage, lines to get room key and lines get on the ship. talking about hours here. changed the route due to Hillary, lots of people unhappy about only 1 day in Cabo when it should have been 2. trips planned had to be cancelled. One of the best shows we have ever seen on a ship. New orleans, comedy not so good, heard all old jokes from the internet and the he had to keep checking his list. over all cruise director annoying !! sorry but.. would have liked to see a weather report on the ship daily info.

Embarkation in San Pedro California was a nightmare. Three long lines to wait through. Really got the cruise off to a rough start.

ship arrived late at port and a day at a port of call was skipped due to whether, but staff and guest were friendly and made the most of the cruise.

The ship was great, the buffet was okay. As usual the bed was wonderful. The beginning was kinda rough because we booked a balcony guarantee and got an obstructed balcony, it was changed for a small fee and all ended well there after losing a nights sleep. I purchased transfers from the port to the airport and the bus was not marked, we could not hear if any announcement was made as to which airport we were going and the carnival representative put us on the wrong bus. I called carnival and they expected us to ride the bus back to the port and then take a different bus to the right airport but our plane was a 1:35 flight so we would have missed it. Our bus driver saved the day by dropping us off at the correct airport after everyone else was off the bus. Long day.
