It was awesome! by LeighK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

This was our first cruise and we included our whole family of 6 in the vacation. It was absolutely awesome and we would love to do it again. Everything about the ship was incredible. The ship was very organized when it came to boarding and debarking. The room service was so great....always a clean room to come back to, no matter what time it was. It was truly the best vacation ever. I hope we can cruise again with Carnival. We have so many great memories that will be with us forever!

Carnival Pride by NadiaC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

The room was great. The only problem was that we had one of those adjoining rooms...the kind with a door separating us from our neighbors and they were very loud. I did not like this conisdering my 5 year old should not have to have an audio tour of the birds and bees in action. Food was good, lots of buffets with good food. Friendly employees, except in the spa. In the exercise room, there was no ventilation. You can use a machine for as long as you want. If you are the person waiting, wait away, there is no sign up sheet. Machines that are broken will remain broken for the duration of your cruise.

The ship was beautifully decorated and the layout was easy to enjoy and also easy to escape into comfortable corners for a great book.

a super fabulous cruise by HarveyA

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

We cruise a lot, but this is our first voyage with Carnival Pride, we do not know what to expect since we are so used to Celebrity, Viking and Princess. But we were so impressed with CP (Carnival Pride), we can tell the ship is a superior architectural design and have made a statement. All the programs and shows are very entertaining, we always look forward for the next show right after dinner. I told my family about how lovely CP is, they are making plans to take the whole family (with their two boys, 8 & 11 on your future cruise.

Book It Yourself by Traveler49

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

There's alot to say so I will keep it simple 1. if you like to eat out all the time then the food is ok. If you are a good cook and like home cooking the food is awful. Stick to ceral, fruit and salad it is good. 2. if you never been on a ship come prepared with motion sickness pills. 3. The drinks on ship are weak and expensive bring a bottle of alcohol and your own soda belive me,it will be worth the hastle. 4. The entertainment and shows are good try and get to as many as you can. 5. The staff is friendly and attentive. 6. Recomend booking trip yourself, you will save money and get what you want. It was our 25 year wedding anniversay and the agent did nothing (we found after we were on board). 7. The excersions are so expensive try the beach. Be prepared for vendors everywhere.

Disappointment On The High Seas by SuriyaH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

The ship had very limited activities for non-drinkers and non-gamblers. The optional entertainment choices were poor with older movies available through pay per view and limited television channels. The stateroom was smaller than expected and small spaces for clothing.

Carnival Pride - A fantastic cruise by StephanieZ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

We sailed last week on the Carnival Pride for their seven day cruise to Mexico. We had a wonderful time! This was our third cruise but it was the first time we had three days at sea to really enjoy the ship. The ship was absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed the personable service we received from almost every crew member.

This was our 1st time on a cruise ship and we didn't know what to expect. When we arrived at the ship we were amazed at how nice the staff treated us. The help they gave us in order to board with more ease was just great.

The Carnival Pride is a beautiful ship - very clean and well-maintained. The rooms were spacious with lots of storage and the bathroom showers were very nice, even for larger people.

We had aneawesome time. Mom and sisters vacation and it was great. We wore ourselves out doing fun things in port and relaxed and enjoyed what the Pride had to offer while at sea. Overall, it was a wonderful and fun time for all. I was the only one who had cruised before but now, we all have another one planned for next year!!

LOVED the Cruise! by DebbieH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

For the price of this cruise, we absolutely loved it! All the food on the ship was delicious and the staff was really friendly. The rooms were really spacious for a cruise ship. We had an inside cabin, it was 185 sq. feet. The inside cabin we had in Hawaii on the Pride of Aloha was 120 sq. feet. There was a big difference believe it or not! There were plenty of activities to keep us busy. The only port we loved was Cabo San Lucas (but never have enough time there). Mazatlan and Puerta Vallarta were just okay. It was extremely hot in both of those ports, I think October is Mexico's Summer! The shows each night in the Taj Mahal were first rate! The water going and coming from Mexico is really choppy. We have done this cruise before and it was the same. Not a super smooth sailing! The ship is lovely, you won't be disappointed!

This was a great cruise by Ar11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

I loved the cruise but I didn't like how the boat was set up. Not like the other Carnival ships I had been on, everything like the stores and clubs, and bars where mostly to the sides of the boat. On this boat, everything was in the middle making the ship look really small inside. Other than that, everything was great.

Problems with Carnival by Pso53677355

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

I will start off with the positive. Visiting the ports is a great way to see different parts of Mexico and provided us with a tour of three different areas for ideas on how we might like to make extended stays later. The Mexican people were really nice, outgoing and wanted to make the tours in ports a positive experience. If you like a booze cruise and to smoke this is the ship for you, which seems out of character for a cruise line that advertises to families. There are smoking and non- smoking public areas on the ship, but this does not appear to be inforced. Additionally much of the lounge entertainment is going to be found in smoking areas. My wife sent a skirt to the laundry for a simple wash (no special instructions). The skirt was returned with a hot pressed mark permanently seared into the fabric and still dirty. The ship refused to take responsibility for the damage, basically insinuated that we sent it damaged and suggested that we should of bought travel insurance. My wife also suffered three small burns on her upper thigh while getting a spa treatment. The burns were severe enough to leave permanent scarring. Buyer beware on spa services, Carnival also does not take responsibility for them. Having a large male awakening passengers in the middle of the night by punching and kicking on stateroom doors while swearing in the hallway and having a slow response to my and other stateroom calls for security was also not our idea of fun.
