Cruising Dream! by GladGlobetrot

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was relaxing, wonderful, delightful, & excellent! Everyone on the Carnival Team was nice, generous, sweet & kind! The FOOD was amazing!  SO much food & delicious!  24/7 food on the Lido deck. Desserts to enjoy! And a dining experience at our own time in the Normandie Dining Room on the 3rd deck.  We enjoyed snorkeling in the crystal blue waters of the Half Moon Cay waters! We were guests at the Comedy Club & the Taj Mahal which had fabulous high energy dancing & singing performances! There were shops, night clubs, bars, coffee bars, casino, 3 pools (one that was Adult Only!) slides, miniature golf, exercise room & spa.  The BEST was our room with a balcony & a cabin housekeeper who kept our room PERFECT! It was a WONDERFUL VACATION! They cater to your every need!  A dream cruise!

Relaxing Fun Cruise by andileen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our goal was to not do much. We never got off the ship until we returned. Luckily for us, we are early risers and managed to get a covered sunbed in Serenity, the Adult only area, everyday. They need many more of these as they are very popular. Serenity also was usually very crowded on sea days so it probably needs to be bigger.

captain avoids hurricane!!! by digale

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our captain did a fantastic job of keeping us away from hurricne Erica. It was some of the calmest water we've ever sailed in

New for us, a shaded waiting area to wait in to board tenders at half moon cay.Very nice.

We were saddened to see there was no carnival pride jazz band or dancers. The shows are not the same without them.Happy

Cruise Review. by majblazer88

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

My girlfriend has been on 4-5 cruises, & I have never been on a cruise before.  Overall the cruise was very nice, especially since it is a week to just get away.   The meals(all 3 plus a day) were excellent.  There was always a full itinerary for each entire day. The ports/destinations we were and /or stopped at were very good.  The staff on the cruises ship were excellent, especially our room attendant(Kadek Agus-Wirnata) was the ABSOLUTE BEST.  He was always there for us, there was very little to nothing he could do for us.  He was very attentive to us, he continually checked on us to see if we needed ANYTHING.  If I could have  been on a any cruise I would hope/wish to have him as out attendant.

Thanks,

Mark

Great experience and trip by massimon71

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We drove to Baltimore and as soon as we got to the port they started taking care of us.  Well organized check in process, great service aboard, great food, nice range of activities for the whole family, good size stateroom (we had a balcony), even for 2 adults and 2 kids.

The three port of calls all had something to do for everyone, enough to fill the time allowed.

I was pleasantly surprise with our family vacation. Ages from age 6 thru 72 and there were 7 of us. From meals, camps, movies, pools, breakfast, lunch and diners-all delicious, we would recommend to GO.

Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My first time with Carnival Cruise and it was a great experience. Overall, the service was top notch and the fun was amazing. Though, some of the employees don't speak good English which is frustrating sometimes but it was still a great trip overall.

Carnival Pride by nhewlett

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Experience was great. I just didnt like when we got to Freeport there were excursion people on board telling us we were to take a bus to the beach area, but it turned out to be a private yet dirty beach. After getting back to the states i found out that i should have took a taxi & that there were several other nicer areas of Freeport i could have visited.

Great Family vacation by SilvFamily

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first Carnival Cruise (we have taken other cruise lines before).  My two younger children, ages 10 & 13 did not enjoy the Camp Carnival, but did find plenty of activities outside of the camp that they enjoyed doing, both with the family and on their own.  Since we go to Florida on a regular basis, this port was not very exciting for us and we would have rather stopped at their private Island, but my older children, ages 18 & 16 did enjoy a trip to Kennedy Space Center with my wife, while I stayed back on the ship with the younger ones and enjoyed the water park and other activities that were emptier.  The highlight of the trip was a day at Atlantis, with a shallow water dolphin experience.

Overall the cruise was fun....good food, clean and the staff were all friendly.

Bahamas Cruise is Worth Your Vacation by rajeshmaingi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My wife, 8 year old daughter, and I took this 7 night cruise - it was our first cruise experience. When asked afterward, my daughter said "It was the best vacation ever!" We booked an ocean view with balcony cabin, and enjoyed all aspects of the cruise: eating, games, shows, trivia, shopping, did I mention eating? The ship is a very nice, stable ship. I would rate this cruise 4.5 stars, but there is no option. My only 2 recommendations: first, there was a stop in Cape Canaveral FL, which was just ok, so we could have done without that stop and saved a day. I now see that Carnival is offering a 6 night cruise without FL - that seems like a winner. Second, the pools are pretty crowded and small, and ocean water content. We swam the first day for a few minutes and then did not go back. Other than those two minor issues, this is a cruise worth doing!

Staff very pleasant eager to please. Food good staff goes out of their way to serve food well. The islands were beauitful. Entertainment was ok could have been better. The casino tiny even as a smoker it became overwhelming with smoke. The non smokers had no where to go. Over all enjoyable trip

birthday cruise by aemurraine

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

it didn't meet my expectations as a refurnished ship.

I've been on other Carnival ships had much fun and memorable times. On this one the casino floor managers seem to be not so customer friendly, which made me feel unwelcomed.  Also, my roommate was charged for three sodas from the room bar which we never touched. she bought her ginger ale at the bar by the lobby and I brought in 2-3 from outside.

The dining was excellent. My request for early dining was granted and the head waiter, Orlando, and his team were very hospitable and friendly.

Great Time! by jmgand3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This cruise was a fantastic vacation for my family. There were 3 adults and three children in my group and the cruise offered something for everyone. We did an excursion to Magic Kingdom (Disney) when we got to Port Canaveral which was a surprise excursion for my kids. I follow a gluten-free diet and the sit-down restaurant on board allowed me to preorder my meals the day before so that they would have time to prepare them separately.  The outdoor pools had a high salt content in the water so we did not enjoy the pools onboard but my children loved the splash zone and water slide on the top deck.  This was my children's first cruise and they loved everything including the family friendly comedians, live shows and the Dr. Seuss green-eggs and ham breakfast with appearances from the Dr. Seuss characters.  It was a great time -- we all would like to take another cruise again!

The last 4 days of the cruise was great! by jrjc315

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I was sick for the first 3 days because we had to stand at the life boat station too long in the high heat. I had room service and watched tv. The last 4 days was great we did most of the shows, the adult pool and hot tub. The food was very good.

Eastern Caribbean on Carnival Pride by randrysz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It was a very good time.

Only objections was the excessive space devoted to smokers and the front upper decks were closed due to wind (non existent) .

Freeport is a sketchy port of call.

Great Experience by awalters295

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Had a wonderful time and experience!! My advice would be to include soda it is inconvenient to only get one soda at a time and that it is only offered at the bars. Everything else was excellent including the staff!!!
