Review summary

We drove to Baltimore and as soon as we got to the port they started taking care of us.  Well organized check in process, great service aboard, great food, nice range of activities for the whole family, good size stateroom (we had a balcony), even for 2 adults and 2 kids.

The three port of calls all had something to do for everyone, enough to fill the time allowed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great food choices with large buffet and different cuisines, sit down restaurant, and a couple 24/7 offerings. The food was always very good.

Children's Programs

Nice that there are 3 age groups, so kids are separated according to their needs.

Service and Staff

The service was always great, both in the restaurant and in the room. Very nice staff and interactions.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Given that the size of the smoking population in the US is quite small, I was surprised to see so many smoking areas, especially so close to where children hang out (the pool) or where one gets most of the food (the buffet). One area even encompasses one of the few good running spaces!! The only area that left me disappointed was the Serenity lounge. The website sells it like an oasis of relaxation where children aren't allowed, but in reality it felt overcrowded and was quite noisy. Also, the privacy pods were pretty much always occupied by the first ones to get there, who wouldn't relinquish them for the good part of the day. That's unfortunate, although I don't see how that could be handled differently.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Large enough to accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids very comfortably. Plenty of room for empty suitcases under the bed, very nice bathroom, didn't feel too small at all. Comfortable beds, good noise insulation, and a nice balcony area.

Ship tip

You can't go wrong with any of the food choices, and the burgers on the Lido deck were exceptional.
