Very disappointed that we did not get to see any destinations while on the ship. Hurricane Sandy ruined the trip. This was my first cruise and I was advised taking a cruise in late October would be a sure bet to miss any hurricanes. Just my luck! :( We were suppose to go to Freeport for a day and Nassau for 2 days but we went to Nassau for about 7 hours and for 5 of those hours I was getting married on the ship. My wedding day was moved up one day from Thursday to Wednesday which didn't allow us to really see anything in Nassau. We were then told we would go to Port Canaveral but that didn't happen. We came back a day early. I was disappointed because I saved a lot of money and vacation days for this trip/wedding and it was not what I expected. I am not blaming Carnival but I think some other solutions, options, and information should have been given to the customers. The ship was beautiful and had a lot to offer but you couldn't capitalize on it because the waters were so rough that everyone was sea sick. I've been on small boats and yachts (never on a cruise ship) and I'm really good on the water but this experience was crazy. A couple nights when I went to dinner the dining hall was about 30% full. All the sea sickness medicine was sold out on the ship. Like I said, its not Carnivals fault but I think this was my first and last cruise due to the experience. The risk verse the reward is not worth it. I dont feel like I got my money's worth.

This was our 2nd Carnival trip. We were not as impressed w/this ship as we were our first. Staff not as warm and friendly, and we found the ship to be less cruiser-friendly. We felt they catered to the 'drinking crowd' more than anyone else.

The ship was nice, it would have been great if we had either been cancelled, gone out around the hurricane, or went back to Norfolk early. Instead we wasted time in the open waters waiting to dock in Port Canaveral while the storm caught up with us and continued to batter us. The ship itself was nice and the service was great from the staff.

First time i have ever been on a cruise and well it was something never got to port because Sandy was on our tail so being stuck on boat for 6 days well just wasnt what i wanted to do but will go again just not Sept,Oct,Nov

It's very clean but a lot of the staff needs some serious customer service training.

the sout of 6 dayship took us to the bahamas when a hirricane was in the same path......never got off ship only 6 hrs

Thought it was a very nice ship. Would like to have curtain in cabin, between beds & TV, sofa area.

We did a 2 night 'cruise to nowhere' out of Norfolk. This was really a test cruise to see how our kids, 6 & 7 would do on a boat. It was a sucess. The room had bunk beds, the kids dinner menu was great and Camp Carnival never boring to them. We are ready to try a 5 day cruise.

This is my second time doing this same cruise so it must not be too bad. It seemed like they rushed us off the ship this time. SHip got back to Norfolk at 6:00 or so and they started call for people to get off at 7:00. Now for those that did not party all night and was ready to get off, this may have been great, but for me, not so great. All and all I would do it again if the price was right (smile).

The Norfolk cruise terminal isn't setup for a crowd that is handling their own baggage. There were 2500 people trying to use three six passenger elevators with their bags to board and only one elevator to disembark. Both ways took over two hours.

Carnival Glory was clean, with good service & friendly staff. We did not appreciate smoking allowed throughout the ship. There were no smoking signs on the bar by the casino, but yet ash trays were provided by the bartenders for smokers. Very disappointing! We liked being able to sail from Norfolk which is close to home.

This ship was a perfect first cruise for me. From the Red Sail Restaurant to the Emerald Steakhouse, the food was delicious every single time. Our room was very clean and the room stewards made sure it was always well-stocked with towels. Anytime we had a question or request, it was met with polite, well-mannered responses. I can't imagine cruising on any other cruise line. The Glory's captain was friendly and nice; the maitre'd was seen several times throughout the cruise in all restaurant areas consulting with his staff; the waiters were efficient and quick. The entire ship's crew did an excellent job for the entire six-day cruise.
