Review summary

We did a 2 night 'cruise to nowhere' out of Norfolk. This was really a test cruise to see how our kids, 6 & 7 would do on a boat. It was a sucess. The room had bunk beds, the kids dinner menu was great and Camp Carnival never boring to them. We are ready to try a 5 day cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining room food was great\, buffets left a lot to be desired. Pizzeria was wonderful\, but always had a line.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Since this was a cruise to nowhere I did not feel there were enough activities scheduled during the daytime - all the activities were at night and a lot overlapped.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Camp Carnival was wonderful for the kids. The staff was well trained and kept the kids busy with great activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was wonderful\, especially the wait staff.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was older and dated\, but very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was great\, especially considering there were bunk beds - never felt cramped. Shower could have been a little bigger.

Pros: Perfect room for kids

Cons: Lack of activities
