A week with 'Sandy'

Sail Date: October 22, 2012

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship was nice, it would have been great if we had either been cancelled, gone out around the hurricane, or went back to Norfolk early. Instead we wasted time in the open waters waiting to dock in Port Canaveral while the storm caught up with us and continued to batter us. The ship itself was nice and the service was great from the staff.

Pros: The 1st 24 hrs of the cruise and most of all - Coming back early!!!

Cons: Taking a beating in the middle of a Cat 2 hurricane for multiple days; sea-sickness; dizzy for over a week afterwards.

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!

Ship Quality
Nice\, clean\, organized.
Food and Dining
The fine dining was very nice\, only one surprise that was somewhat disappointing out of all of the meals served. Even that meal was good\, just wasn't was I expected (Filet Mignon was more like flat steak/pot roast than what I was expecting). Loved the anytime dining option\, that was nice.
Cabin / Stateroom
Can't complain about the room for the price. The stateroom steward was absolutely fantastic!
Service and Staff
Would have given 'The Best' but there was one head waiter who seemed pretty uninterested for 2 nights\, everyone else was fantastic.
