Amazing ! Worth every moment! by Sandi3horses

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had such a great time on the ship and on the excursions. The food was fabulous and plentiful. If we are able to book again I would book directly into Miami and not into Ft. Lauderdale as is cost between shuttles to the port of Miami and Ft Lauderdale hotel and Airport and reversed including taxis about $300.00

Carnival Glory by bfbg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This is my 6th time on the Glory and it has never disappointed me. Embarkation was fast and efficient  The first thing I recognized (from being on the ship in January) was the new carpeting in the elevator and stairwell areas.  Very Nice! The ship is very easy to navigate and was constantly being tended to by the dedicated cleaning members.  Elmer, my cabin steward and his team, kept the room impeccably clean. Abundant food selections for every taste.  Brian and Milos from the Alchemy Bar were very attentive, personable and entertaining.  There was plenty of on board activities for all ages. Debarkation was a breeze.  Not being a smoker, the only one negative, for me, was the smoke in the casino. It somewhat dampened my enthusiasm for playing the slots. Carnival is trying their very best with having air purifiers sitting around the room, but they did not seem to keep up with the amount of smoke in the area.  All in all, this was a very fun cruise, and I have already booked this ship for April 2016.

It was only ok. by ldn5263

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

There were several things that I did like very much. Chief among these were the people who worked on the cruise. (Chief among these were the cabin steward and our waiter.) The ship was clean and well kept as well. However it was not perfect. First of all, the choices for our dinner were not too varied....especially the desert menu. Usually I just got the fruit plate. Guys hamburgers were very good, but then again-they were just hamburgers. The deli served good food, but again, not much of a selection. Also, the pools are actually very small.

nice trip by ArtPhillips

had a great trip on the carnival glory, however found the food to be disappointing. Most of it was with very little seasoning or overly sweet.  Ship/room were clean and service was very good.

Totaly Awesome!!!! by bjjunco

Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I have to say this was one of the best vacations we have ever had!!!! The wait staff the housekeeping everyone was so nice and helpful! They made my children feel so welcome and happy. The wait staff went above and beyond for them it was incredible!!! The FOOD was so good I never thought I would eat that well! Everything was just to die for it was great!

My only issue was with the Pixil staff and would not recommend using them as one of there employees threatened me (in a non-violent way).

my son and one of the best staff members (above)

My daughter really  liked her too!

Dr Seuss breakfast!!

we had a great time

Great Time Cruising by dklurz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a very relaxing time and lots of fun during our cruise.  We would like to give a special thank you to Rea Mrdalj, whom was our waitress each night at the Steakhouse (3 times)!  She was wonderful and so funny.  Her stories are the best and we hope her all the best.  Likewise, our evening dinning crew were very professional and responsive.  German did an outstanding job and was always focused on our wishes.  The comedy club was another highlight…the first few nights we were lucky to have two outstanding, hilarious, comics:  Vince Morris and Doug Williams.  These guys were outrageous!!

Good value and family fun by sjmelvin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Over all with a large group of family it all turns out to be a worth while trip. Carnival is always more fun than other ship lines. The live music is every where, the pool games are fun to watch and the staff are generally friendly. The food always takes a turn for the worst in the end of the trip but over all the food was okay but the fine dining in the steak house was super. Suites are a good size for a family of 4 and bath room and vanity area were great for the wife and kids. Ship is new and 5th floor lay out is dynamite. Always easy to find your group somewhere.

Good overall cruise. Spectacular shows and lots of fun! by efprince7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The shows and music were awesome. It was very clean and the people are very good. Service desk was very helpful. It was definitely fun. Only complaint was that at dinner time our waiters were covering too many tables and we were always last. They should shuffle the table turns to make it fair. The rooms are not comfortable for quad occupancy. Besides that it was a very good experience!

One of the better cruises that I've ever had by lennyr63

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This cruise was surprisingly good. The low budget/level of service ratio was truly outstanding. One of my few complaints would be the fact that the buffet did not operate throughout the day - it would shut down @ 2:30 until the evening. t that point your options would be a pizza booth (surprisingly good), a deli booth (way below average), and a burger booth where the smell made me nauseous whenever I'd walk by.

Maybe we expected more.... by Saltseagirl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our fourth Carnival Cruise in two years and our first on the Glory. We were very excited because we met our Son and his family in Florida to travel together.  The cruise itself was good and we had fun due to the fact we were with our family.

Mike the Cruise Director was amazing and knew people and we are convinced he never slept!  Our dining staff (Wida and Widana and Rudon) were wonderful and went out of their way to serve our every need.  They were especially kind to our grandchildren.

Saying that; our experience was nothing near the other cruises we have had on Carnival. Many disappointing things happened like not getting any notice of an itinerary change of not being able to go to Half Moon Cay because of the hurricane, our only notice was from other passengers; it was our second time not being able to go on the island. The embarkment was delayed without any information given for why it was, our room not being cleaned one evening and Housekeeping was put out with us when we called for towels. Our excursion on Grand Turk was very disappointing and nothing like the excursion desk described to us, our shower was cold all week, we complained but nothing happened and several other things; even the timing of the entertainment, in the past you are able to go to things at 7:00 PM if you have the late dining.  On the Glory everything happens at 8:00 or 9:00 and if you have late dining you miss it, with the exception of the 10:00 show that is too late for the kids.

We will definitely go on more cruises, we are fans.  Maybe we just expected more because of our past experiences.

Had a good time.  Treated very well.  Not impressed with this ship.  It is really chopped up you have to go up or down decks in order to get through the ship.  Not a fan of Carnival don't know that I would go on one of their ships again or not.

Carnival is not as good as it used to be! by jacqui99

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

While I really liked the layout of the Glory (and I've been on many Carnival Cruises), I feel the quality of the service and food has gone way down!

Not as many selections in buffet and food just wasn't good. Only ate in dining room once as the food was cold and not tasty, and after waiting that long to get a table and be waited on, I just ate it.

It was my birthday and I didn't receive my complimentary champagne voucher for the steak house, which we did eat in on my birthday, until the last night! Carnival used to offer discounts for Platinum guest, they don't do anything now!

The excursions have become sooooo expensive and they don't offer lunch with any of them anymore, even for excursions that are long and you pay well over $100 for.

Very disappointed with Carnival and may pay more to cruise with a better cruise line next time.

Great atmosphere for a lousy garage sale by SKPTHAT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The trip itself was great. Lots of sun, relaxing and plenty to do. Beware of the all the propaganda for the sales they have, which are overwhelming. The merchandise is the LOW end of the name brand they are selling and not really worth the price they are asking. THERE ARE NO RETURNS so don't buy unless you want it. We found this out too late because there are no signs and no one tells you. Just some fine print on the bottom of the receipt.

All the food is delicious and there is plenty of it, but the breakfast and dinner (if you eat in the dining room) take over an hour and a half to get through a meal.

First time cruiser by ourhome6469

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We have been anticipating this cruise for 9 months. My OCD leant itself to lots of checks, re-checks, videos, blogs and boards to learn as much as I could about the cruising process and the particulars about our ship. I can say we were well prepared, there were very few negative surprises, lots of AHAH

and many we can do this better next time moments.  The cruise was an excellent value, the cabin was clean and actually had more storage space than I anticipated. The embarkation and disembarkation process was very smooth, Our only concern was the food temperature not taste.  The food in the buffet was seldom if ever hot and at times barely warm.  I was concerned about how that may be from a health perspective but so far, so good.  I would strongly suggest Carnival Glory find a way to maintain a palatable and safe food temperature.  Other than that, we will loved our cruise and will return,

50' Birthday get away by stownsend02

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This cruise experience was as exciting as I thought.  The only think that perturbed me was the long lines for Embarking and Debarking. That process could be streamlined better.  Not, sure but that is the most aggravating process. Also, the Safety meeting that everyone has to go when there is an evacuation emergency. This process could be changed, not everyone needs to go at the same time after we just arrived on the ship after standing in long lines and then have to go through this again. But visiting each port in Cozumel, Belize,Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras,George Town, Grand Cayman. All locations and tour guides were great.  I would go again!Big Smile

Sorry cruise by marzipanpig

Did not enjoy this cruise at all.  First time with Carneval - will also be the last.  If you enjoy long, long lines for everything and being constantly asked to buy drinks this is the cruise for you - if not find another cruise line.
