Seven night Eastern Caribbean Cruise by wnklpenny

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Eastern Caribbean cruise was a nice cruise. The food and service was great. We especially liked the stop at Half Moon Cay. The beach and water was the prettiest we have ever seen. The other ports were nice also but our favorite would be Half Moon Cay. What we did not like was Carnival adding $12 per day per person for tips. If this was not bad enough they charge a tip for each drink you have on the boat and their drinks are not cheap. I don't know why Carnival can't charge one price for a cruise and that would include everything (like an all inclusive).

Cruising on Carnival by marsh323

Docking into different ports and visiting all the sites. We liked the amount of time spent at each port, didn't have to hurry or worry about getting back on board.

Skip Belize , one big disappointment . Rooms 6440 and 6436 were right above a club that shook the life out of us at night . Leilani in golden dining room is a gem .

The cruise was not bad and the service staff was excellent always.  The problems we encounter were:

The dining room food was overcooked, cold and dried out

The overall cleanliness of the ship was poor.  Not something Ive ever seen on Carnival

Great trip by sharrukin999

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I had a blast the food the shows the clubs, the excursions the service the drinks especially a drink called the ultimate r&b all great. Every day was filled with activities and the crew made sure to inform the guest of each event. The shops were responsible in price for gifts, and the ship give aways where plenty.

More Bang for the Buck! by C1Storm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall, the cruise was extremely enjoyable.  The staff was friendly and inviting, the on ship entertainment was great, the food was relatively good in both the buffet and formal dining area, and the stateroom steward did a wonderful job daily keeping the room tidy.  I especially liked coming in at night and seeing the towel animals coupled with the bed turn down service.  On a less positive note, the ship could use a little decor update and the excursion prices were a bit high in comparison to on land prices from locals.  It would also be nice to see the soda program included in the price of the cruise instead of as an add on.  However, overall my family had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend it to others!

Great Vacation! by jgrundmeier

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our favorite part of the cruise were the stops.  We stopped at Grand Cayman, Belize, Honduras, and Cozumel.  We had never been to any of these islands and we already want to go back.  Stingray City in Grand Cayman is amazing and the snorkeling in Belize on the second largest barrier reef in the world was fantastic.  We say many different varieties of sea life and when we were getting on the boat a manatee swam by, so that was a first for us.  In Honduras we went to a smaller island called Little French Key which is truly paradise and we would highly recommend that island to anyone going.  All of the staff on the ship were great with our kids.  They would all joke with them and play with them, they kids loved the cruise.  Overall the cruise was great and our family would love to go again.

Availability and Quality of food by tjmiller1705

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

the only thing I can comment about was the Availability and Quality of food. I found it to be very difficult to go out on a shore excursion for all day and come back to the boat at 4:30pm to find only Pizza and Bergers to eat. To things I don't eat. When you out on shore all day and didn't get lunch, it would be nice to have more options when you return to the ship. Also the Quality of the food was bad. For example, the egg white omlets need to have PAM and a chunk of butter... not good. Pam should be enoought and the deserts were horriable. Thank god I am not a junk food eater...

I really liked the cruise: the entertainment, food, service, excursions. Good choice for my family. I strongly recommend it!

This is the third cruise I have been to and it was by far the best one!

Too much to do. Not enough time. by genrl2002

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise itself was relaxing. A bit crowded at times at all the pool areas. Drinks were pricey compared to the norms. Food was different but bland and mostly repetitious. The excursions were wonderful. Some what pressured for time.

Shows by ezequiel1142

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was great. More shows would make the cruise better. Late nights instead of going to the club having other activities would be better. Alsp having other varieties at night beside pizza would make the cruise better aswell.

Carnival 7 Night Western Caribbean by carynkty54

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I took this cruise with my husband and 30 year old single daughter.  The ship had everything to meet our needs.  The Carnival Hub app made it easy to keep in touch with my daughter while she was entertaining herself on board without us.  We had room 8457 Aft which was in the rear of the ship.  The views from this room were awesome and the balcony extended out farther.  Plenty room to acommodate 3 adults totally unpacked with suitcases stored away.  All 3 of us absolutely loved this cruise.

Never again on Carnival by kazvet2000

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

First of all, in my opinion, the food was terrible.  The buffets were boring and the lines were much too long.  I could NEVER find a bagel or piece of bread that was not ice cold at the breakfast brunch. There were not enough tables. By the time you found one the rest of your food was ice cold and you had to start all over again and leave a family member alone at the table to save it!  We were 3 people, in the dinning room, they put us at a table for two and added a chair. Why would you do that...even a table of many would have been better! When I spoke to someone at the desk I got an attitude when they had to find us different accommodations. I got a huff "wait here".

I took my 10 yr old granddaughter with us with the impression there would be a lot of things for her to do...WRONG....not even the pool slide was working!!

The pool was much to crowded, one could not even turn around once you got in!

The lines at the "customer services" took too long also. There were two people working and 15 people on the line, but there were PLENTY of photographers to take your picture though!

I do have to say that the waiting staff and the cabin stewards where terrific. They made it a little easier to take the bad along with the good.

I was told by a few people before we booked the cruise that I should not do Carnival....now I understand why!!!! Surprised

NO I will not recommend Carnival to a friend...I want to keep them as friends!!

OHHHHH!!! one very important thing....MOST of the crew that were serving or making food did NOT wear gloves...especially the ones making the pizzas. They put on the cheese and toppings with their bare fingers. That should not be allowed at all. But I did notice the ones who WERE wearing gloves were the people cleaning the tables.  I guess the cruisers have more germs than the crew!! Angry

Lousy ports and too many kids. by Linda102

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Well, of course like any cruise the fact you didn't have to cook was great.

The aft balcony though was terrible. You get absolutely no air and for a

trip through the Caribbean that was a must. The aft part of the ship is so

bouncy and with the pool maintenance room across the hall it was noisy.

Big bangs for no reason , oh wait , pool maintenance . I would never book

a room there again.

The people on this particular cruise were the most ignorant humans ever.

Nice relaxing cruise - top rate staff by LauraJM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Although the Carnival Glory is an older and  smaller ship, the ports we sailed to (Half Moon Cay, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turks) were good ports and the ship had a nice adult-only area called Serenity that was very quiet.  The food was great and the dining, room, and bar staff were exceptional which made the cruise one of the best we have had.

I missed having a shaded walking area that went around the whole ship (usually deck 4 or 5) - you could go up and back, but not all the way around.  The jogging track on the sports deck was small and all sun.

Hip Hip Hooray For Crusie Director Eric by Familytrip

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

AngryAngry  Every area was extremely awesome except the agent Gillam in the portrait dept.

LoveLoveFrom the time we got on board until the time we had to say goodbye, the Cruise Director Eric was the greatest of all times. The gentleman that was the steward for my section was just downright remarkable... Thank you so much Carnival Glory for hiring those 2...  LoveLove
