A FANTASTIC CRUISE by NaomiV1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

AS WE WERE ON THIS WONDERFUL CRUISE WE CAME ACROSS A RAFT WITH CUBAN REFUGEES (TEENAGERS) THAT HAD BEEN AT SEA 4 DAYS. THE CAPTAIN MADE A U TURN AND WENT BACK TO HELP THEM. WE THREW THEM FOOD, DRINKS AND LIFE PRESERVES, THAT THEY DIDNOT HAVE. THE COAST GUARD WAS CALLED AND WE WAITED WITH THEM UNTIL HELP ARRIVED. THIS IMPRESSED ME SO MUCH THAT IT BOUGHT ME TO TEARS. NOT ONLY WAS THIS AN OUTSTANDING STAFF BUT ALSO VERY HUMANE AND CARING.I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH AN EXPERIENCE ON VACATION!

This was our fifth cruise on the fourth cruise line and would rank #1 for us. It was very family oriented, fun, clean and comfortable. This was the best family vacation we have ever had.

Best Vacation Ever! by MelissaS10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was the best vacation ever! This was my second time cruising the Caribbean. Awesome! The Carnival Glory is a fabulous ship. Our stateroom was huge and very comfortable. We definitely recommend a room with a private balcony. It was well worth the extra money. From our first day at sea we were able to view manta rays, sea turtle, and hundreds of flying fish from our balcony as we sipped on our tasty ship drink of the day. We were located on the Lido Deck, in the last room on the starboard side. The pool deck was right outside our door. Great room location! Easy access to everything! Our room was very clean and had tons of storage. Upon arrival we immediately unpacked and made ourselves at home. Our room had a place for everything. Huge Ship! I have never seen anything like it. A city on the water! The Glory has everything you could possibly need and then more! Beautiful dcor all of the public spaces and rooms were each defined with a different style. The colors and fabrics are beautiful. The architecture and decorating are very impressive. The main lobby with glass elevators and the curved marble staircase are something you would expect to find in a very glamorous hotel. The food was wonderful. We had so many different options available, and took advantage of each. We enjoyed dinner in the Platinum Dinner Room on several evenings. The wait staff was incredible, very friendly and entertaining. We also tried the endless buffets, burgers, and the pizza some of the best pizza we have ever eaten. Overall, the best dinning experience was in the Supper Club. A small fee was additional, but well worth it. I wish we had done this earlier into the cruise because we would have taken advantage of this several more times. This had to have been one of the best meals I have ever eaten in my entire life, if not the best! Sushi, Lobster and New York Strip. Unbelievable! The service was impeccable and the Chefs amazing. Dont miss the coffee shop so many choices and the desserts, beautiful and tasty. Check out the chocolate tall cake! The entertainment options were endless. We took in several shows in the Amber Palace, spent way too much time in the casino, but loved it. We definitely recommend after dinner drinks in the Ivory Bar while listing to the musical trio who perform nightly. I personally enjoyed the duty free shopping in the gift shops. I did most of my Christmas shopping for my family. Cant beat the prices! The jewelry shows and specials were incredible. The professional photographers did a wonderful job of preserving our vacation. We had photos done every evening before dinner and also at every embarkation. We brought back an album full of pictures and a lifetime of memories. We definitely recommend the Carnival Glory to anyone considering a cruise vacation!

Fabulous Trip by PennyD19537325

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our cruise on the Carnival Glory far exceeded our expectations. The ship was beautiful, spacious, and offered a wide variety of recreational opportunities. We loved the staff and had excellent service. The food was exceptional and more than plentiful with the ship offering a wide variety of dining options and menus. Our children were busy and engaged all day but couldn't wait to join us for dinner each night where we could share our onboard experiences and dine on truly delectable cuisine (with exceptional service)! Again, I was very pleased with the friendliness and care that the staff showed myself and my family. Every need was met immediately and we always felt very safe and comfortable aboard the ship. Due to the number and high visibility of the staff we could afford our children (4) a greater degree of independence so my husband and I actually had more time alone together than we expected. We booked our oneshore excursions on the boat and were very pleased with our choices. The excursions were well planned and executed - we went snorkeling at each location - and Carnival had chosen reliable and capable operators. On each of the excursions, we encountered very friendly and helpful staffmembers who were concerned with their parties' safety and quality of experience. We received helpful information regarding each stop via the onboard stateroom TV's and in helpful onboard seminars. There was also a well-staffed purser's desk which was available to help in any and all situations. I would cruise with Carnival again gladly and hope that we will be able to book another cruise soon in the future!

a Glorious voyage on a fantastic ship by DaveB10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We started with our cruise with only the impression left to us about our trip on Royal. We were verry excited just walking into our cabin it was almost twice the size and the bathroom was that and then some of that on Royal. The common areas were just as impressive eventhough the shopping on board was limitted. The food was fantastic. The crew was most pleasent and ever so wanting to take care of our every need. I am already talking about when we can do it again and even considering the same ship. I would recomend this vacation to anyone anywhere.

Great Cruise by AmyL6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was very clean. The cabin was larger than I expected based on previous cruises. Entertainment was excellent. Overall, food was good. Chocolate buffet was excellent. Grand Gala Buffet was pretty but desserts looked better than they tasted. Ports of call were great. I thought a lot of the excursions were expensive. There were 3 cruise ships in Cozumel and 5 cruise ships in Nassau which made everything really crowded.

Dissapointing Cruise by Pat11167615426

Sail date: / Traveled as:
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was well maintained and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was always lukewarm. Not enough activities to do on the ship and not enough time to get to the activities when and if they were announced. Highly recommend the shore excursions, dolphin swim, Mayan Ruins & Snorkel. Very high prices!

caribbean cruise by ShannonC3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was lovely and the staff excellent. I was hoping for more of a 20-something crowd, and was somewhat dissappointed that most of the other passengers were either very young or much older. The ports of call all offered diverse experiences except for Costa Maya, which was simply a touristly fabrication and somewhat disappointing.

A nice cruise by LarryW4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall the physical aspects of the ship were not up to expectations. My bag was destroyed. I was assured that another bag would be available in ports of call at a reasonable price. I spent most of my time seperated from my party having to find a bag. It didn't happen. Had to purchase a duffle bag to get home. My bag, the cruise line never replaced. Spent a lot of time at the purser's desk trying to get this worked out. It, again, didn't happen. This is the third time I've filled this out, and it didn't go through. Do you not want to see a negative response. I am still going to contact Carnival. To say the least, this was suppose to be my vacation and not theirs.

Not our best vacation by KimberlyY1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

The ship was very nice and there were so many things to do. However, my husband and I both were sick from the food (bacterial infection) and our son got bronchitis. The days at sea were very relaxing and the entertainment those days was great.

We enjoy cruising and so do our teenage boys. All the cruise personnel were kind and considerate. The overall appearance of the ship was beautiful. We did have difficulty trying to find our way around but overall it was a great time. Our boys loved the teen dance and game room!!!

A Pleasant Surprise by SueG9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I was pleasantly surprised by my entire cruise experience. I have had the good fortune of experiencing several other cruise vacations on a variety of cruise lines. We selected Carnival for this vacation (Glory) because we were bringing our children and we were under the impression Carnival Cruise Lines is a more casual cruise line, geared more towards families. Although there were many families on board ship (to be expected in the summer), our accomodations, the ships appearance, staff service, and the dining was what we have experienced on more formal Cruise Lines. There were many options for children available (including teenagers), but the adults did not have to suffer. Our cabin was more spacious than previous cabins, storage was excellent, we had many options for entertainment, and the food was plentiful, delicious, with many options and wide selections available. I would highly recommend cruising on Glory, and I would be delighted to have the opportunity to cruise on her again.

Great Cruise! by GinaP1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My family, consisting of myself, husband and three children ranging in age of 10 to 16 sailed on the Glory, and what a beautiful ship! Lots of color and interesting themes using color. Our room steward and his helper were awesome. They were very friendly, kept our room clean, and went out of there way to answer or questions and help us in any way they could. We had dinner in the golden dinging room every night. Our servers were wonderful. The food was mostly very good. There were always several diffenent choices. The service though more than made up for the few items we did not like. Most of my family are very picky eaters, so just because we didn't always enjoy all the food items, does not mean there was anything wrong with the food. The shows were very good, and there are plenty of activities to choose from for everybody.
