Cruise, yeah!

Sail Date: July 22, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was impressive with respect to size and accommodations. The crew was very friendly.

Pros: Very nice crew

Cons: Amount of people on board

Entertainment
Bingo was TOO expensive. Morning games were $20 for 3-cards and only one game was played. If you went in the afternoon, sometimes it was $10 and only one game was played.

Good variety of activities, but for more participation, they should have been spread out (some lag time between activities to give people time to get there).
Ship Quality
Layout is a little confusing for the first few days.
Food and Dining
The "alternative" dining was a buffet/self-service. The lines were ALWAYS long. The food/variety in the dining room was excellent.
Cabin / Stateroom
The oceanview cabin was beautiful with one entire wall being the window.
Service and Staff
Our cabin steward checked our room twice daily. The dining room staff was very friendly and accommodated every request.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Good prices on some souvenirs at the small vendor stands on the pier. Waste of time is the St. Barth's tour.
Don't Miss: Downtown Philipsburg
Nassau, Bahamas
It poured rain on us - we missed some highlights of our tour because of it. Not enough time in port to tour and do other activities on our own.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Shop early if you go downtown - the sidewalks roll up at 5. The snorkeling excursion was horribly crowded (and I don't think they took us to the beach we were supposed to go to) and the masks didn't fit well.
