Great Cruise!

Sail Date: July 01, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

My family, consisting of myself, husband and three children ranging in age of 10 to 16 sailed on the Glory, and what a beautiful ship! Lots of color and interesting themes using color.
Our room steward and his helper were awesome. They were very friendly, kept our room clean, and went out of there way to answer or questions and help us in any way they could.
We had dinner in the golden dinging room every night. Our servers were wonderful. The food was mostly very good. There were always several diffenent choices. The service though more than made up for the few items we did not like. Most of my family are very picky eaters, so just because we didn't always enjoy all the food items, does not mean there was anything wrong with the food.
The shows were very good, and there are plenty of activities to choose from for everybody.

Pros: Relaxing on ship, ports of call trips, room and dinner service

Cons: Nassau excursion

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Beautiful!
Belize City, Belize
Cave tubing was awesome! The private island beach hangout was very nice.
Nassau, Bahamas
Dont waste your time and money on the historical/pirate tour. We never made it to the pirate museum which is the main reason we choose this one. Next time, if we even bother to leave ship here, we will just walk the block or two to the mueseum and see it on our own. The historical tour is a waste of time, you see The Queens stairs, and a fort, that you only have 15 minutes to see, and you have to actually pay to enter. Not worth paying if you only have 15 minutes. I don't think it would've been worth paying for even if you had more time there. They also have vendors at the fort that the driver recommends you buy from if you are looking for souveniers. We felt that was the real reason for stopping there to start with. After that we drove around to see where people on the island live. They drive you around several streets of upper class neighborhoods. Big deal! Then you are stuck in traffic forever. We spent two and a half hours doing the things I mentioned. Skip this one!

Lots of choices, but we were happy hanging out at the beach and relaxing.
