Our 7th Great Cruise with Carnival by JacquelineG3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The embarkation in Port Canaveral and disembarkation went like a snap! Wonderful people that work at the port - very friendly! When we got on board - it was another beautiful Carnival Ship - however not as decorated as others we have been on. Maybe a little plainer. Not a big factor in our choosing a ship. Our dining room waiter was one of our favorites - Ishabal! Captain always kept us informed on weather and where we were at - it was great! The midnite gala was amazing - although on the others we've been on - were much nicer and more options. The shows were all amazing! It was great to see that 24 7 someone was always cleaning! Room service was very fast. The person whoever cleaned our room seemed to always know when we were in or out - never bothered us and our room was always made up! All in all everyone was more than helpful and very friendly.

A Great Vacation by RaymondB2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was great. We liked the size of the cabins, how quiet it was and accessability to "events" on the prominade deck. The food was excellent and well presented by staff. The Lido deck was in itself a great place to spend the day. I was impressed by the stability of the vessel itself (Old destroyer man myself of the 50's era.) and the low noise and vibration from the screws.

Relaxation Long Overdue. by MikeM10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my 13th. cruise,11 with Carnival and by far the Glory out-did them all. Room service was the fastest, most accurate I have ever had. The spa is larger and gave everyone plenty of room even on sea days. Food quality and choices were great, and for once lines never seemed to long. The casino staff were all freindly, yet very professional, however the machines were a bit stingy. Being a platiunum card holder,my wife and I loved the laundry service, the early embark and de-bark, and also the speicial line at the pursers. All in all the service was great, the ship was very well maintained, staff did a great job and(We"ll Be Back).

Great Cruise by WilliamM10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was kept spotless. The dining room staff was simply outstanding, the best we have ever seen, and the food was uniformly excellent. The only detractor was the constant exposure to cigarette smoke in most areas of the ship. The ship is a little difficult to get around, we kept running into dead ends and nowhere could we find a handy map to carry with us. The deck maps at the elevators were small and difficult to read and only applied to that particular deck.

My favorite vacation. by DavidT8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Glory was absolutely gorgeous. Despite its slightly confusing layout, the ship was decorated very well and makes its passengers feel like they're living at a five star resort. I think the main focus of the Glory is to provide its passengers with a sense of comfort and elegance, and it did just that during my trip.

Fun-filled week in the exotic W. Car. by VinceE

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

A very nice and relaxing getaway to the Exotic Western Caribbean. This was our 3rd Carnival experience and overall it was fun and relatively action-packed. We sailed with another couple on their first cruise and enjoyed showing them around and giving them a taste of the cruising lifestyle. Most of the staff was exceedingly pleasant and I would recommend Carnival to those that enjoy a casual, relaxed environment for a little less money. As for the debarkation "process"...it stunk. We chose the "Self Assist" option where you are supposed to get off the ship earlier by carrying your own baggage. Don't do it. The ship got cleared a little later than scheduled, so by the time they started letting people off the ship, everyone and their brother was cramming the hallways with their luggage. To make it worse, there were no updates coming over the PA and no one knew what we were supposed to do. At some point, they started announcing that Self Assist passengers from decks 9-10 should begin to leave, but a Carnival crew member was standing in the hall telling everyone to go. It was chaos.

Very Nice Cruise by LouW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our 9th Carnival Cruise. We have come to expect excellence and where not let down. That said...the Internet Cafe is located in the "Smokers Lounge", it's discusting to walk through all that smoke to check email, that really needs to be corrected.

A very good cruise! by AT588

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Ship as overall good. Standard staterooms had king-size beds with wonderful mattress and pillows and comforter. Adequate size bathroom too. Very very comfortable. Did not appreciate all the smoke in casino & hardly used. All but one (1) elevator was used for luggage for disembarkment and had to wait almost an hour to get down to respected holding area. Food and shows were very good. Ports of call were just okay since we have been to the carribean often. Belize a bit more interesting to see for the first time.

Nice Clean Ship by ArlenM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I found the ship to be very nice. The rooms were a nice size and the washrooms were larger then most ships. I was amazed how clean the boat was as I always saw the staff cleaning. The service on the ship was good but not great. They defenitly have a major problem in the dinning room as your waiter cannot take your drink orders. You have to wait for another waiter to take your drink order but you could be done your meal before your drinks arrive. The "drink waiter" has far to many tables to look after. The food was just o.k.in the dinning room BUT the food and presentation in the private dinning room(extra cost) was incredible. The best I have had in any private dinning room on any cruise line. Overall, my kids had a great time and that is what is important. I would cruise Carnival again but only if our children were with us.

the good and the bad by LaurieD2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was huge and really had everything one could ask for on a cruise. Decor was a little tacky (Vegas style) but it was all in the spirit of the "fun ship" I suppose. The ports of call were not terrific, I've been to nicer islands in the Caribbean before.

Why did we wait so long? by PhyllisN

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

As my son so elegantly put it "*It was The Catskills on the Sea". And if you were born in New York you know just what that means. Over 1000 kids and not one in your way . Families galore and so much to do if you wanted it and also for those who just wanted to read a book and sun there was that for them. We had such a good time. Our cabin was conveniently located and I thank Vicki for that at Cruises Only. Our tables at dinner were so great. Our wait staff was the best. A vacation for our memory banks.

Unbelievable experience. by LorraineR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our first cruise and I could not have imagined how great it would be. We loved the service and were so surprised to find that every single crew member was friendly and happy to serve. The overall staff attitude was refreshing. Our stateroom was cleaned twice a day and exceptionally clean. Each day we received a menu of the next days activities and other information. Our bed was turned down each evening and a towel friend was left of the bed each night. It was exciting to see what the new friend would be each day. The creatures, including a monkey, panda, seal, anteater, rabbit and puppy, were created by twisting and folding towels. The stateroom was roomy and comfortable. We had three closets, large king bed, sofa table and chairs. The room also had a window veiw which we. enjoyed very much. There were many activities to participate in day and night. We especially enjoyed the night life. We liked the casino, the Blue Bar with a great live band, the shows in the Amber Palace and the Kaliedascope Bar. We enjoyed the artwork that was to be auctioned and the ship stores. Every night the photo shots took place and it was fun to look for photos the next day. We purchased many. The food was also great. We enjoyed the dining experience each night in the Golden Resturant. We also enjoyed the buffet in the Red Sail Restaurant. We ate pizza 24 hrs. a day and hamburgers and french fries from the grill until late each night. Coffee was always available and delicious ice cream. There were always sun lounges available on the decks and never once did we have to wait in line for anything! Every single aspect of the cruise was mastered down to a science on this ship! We will never forget this experience and have already recommended a cruise to everyone we know!

A wonderful cruise! by ClaireG1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

the Carnival Glory is a beautiful ship, our veranda room was lovely. The statement was made: "We are a family and we invite you to be part of our family for this week. This is your home for the week and it is our pleasure to have you." I felt such a sense of comfort. They had a Christmas Show where they were not afraid to say "Merry Christmas" or to sing Christmas carols. It was wonderful. The staff came down the aisles with candles and sang "Silent Night". I had tears. The matre'd in our diningroom was so kind and friendly and at the last dinner he wished us a blessed holiday and "God bless you." The food was exceptionally good as well. We relaxed and had a wonderful vacation.

A delightlful cruise by MariaG8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The weather was not the best, but your staff made the most of it and made this cruis very enjoyable. One thing I want to complain about is your snorkling tour. I have previously snorkled and know how it is done there were a few in our group the did not. The tour people did not take the time to teach them how to use the equiptment. One person who was great was Cynthia Lima form the info desk. she was great help and just an overall grat person.

Outstanding cruise by DenieseM

Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

My husband and I enjoyed the cruise this was our first time ever and it was truly a outstanding trip. The Carnival Grory was very clean and I loved the food and the entertainment was just great. We like the way the pictures were taken so that we could keep up with what Island was visited. It's so much to say about the Cruise so we will sail again. Overall we have to say the Ship was the most impressive piece of craftsmanship. ( BEAUTIFUL) Thank you for a great Vacation ever.
