I was impressed with the service that I received from the cleaning of the room to the evening dinner. The ship appeared to be dirty especially in the dining areas. I recall on one ocassion, after cleaning off my table prior to being seated for breakfast, the table smelled like it had been cleaned with a dirty dish rag.

Overall it was a good experience. Two days at sea were a little boring. Would do shorter cruises or ones with more stops. Having to use tenders were awful to access Cozumel. Communication was poor and they did not explain how long the delays were so passengers were left standing for hours waiting to board the small boats to shore. Advise doing ONLY cruises to places that the ship actually docks.

The ship is absolutely beautiful, and so much fun! The entertainment director Goose does a great job of scheduling something for everyone. The nightly shows were great, those dancers really work hard, and the costumes were beautiful, we met several of the dancers at other activities (dance lessons etc) and they are all very nice young people. We especially enjoyed Marvin Bell, the comedian, what a blast! our son bought his CD. Our Waiters, Danai and Josef, are the best! We really enjoyed them and I think they may have taken a liking to our table. They seemed to enjoy teasing my brother alot, and after about the fifth night in a row of my son ordering chicken, Danai brought him a rubber chicken on a platter. We all got a good laugh and some really good pictures. It was all in good fun! And my Mother who has been on several previous cruises on various lines says she now knows why they call Carnival the "fun ship".

Elation is a very nice ship, clean, well kept and lots of fun decor. Our stateroom, an oceanview with potholes, was quite roomy and has good layout. Service was very good. Staff was polite and friendly. Food was the best part.

The ship was very very clean. The food was fantastic, and our room steward did a wonderful job keeping up with us. The only problem was when we got to Cozumel it took them 3 hours to start unloading passengers onto the island.Then there was limited time to do anything as we did not get onto the island untill almost 12:00PM and had to be back onboard at 4:00pm. Very poor planning on their part.

This was our first Carnival cruise. We had heard really mixed reviews about Carnival cruises to Caribbean before our cruise. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. The Embarkation process was smooth. As soon as we found our cabins, we were quite impressed how spacious they were. During our entire trip, we had not had one bad meal. All meals whether from the dinning rooms or from the buffet were excellent. Our dinner servers and cabin attendants were especially friendly and attentive. We traveled with 4 senior citizens who thoroughly enjoyed their first cruise experience. The entertainment programs were overall plain, nothing memorable. One disappointment was the weather: during the entire 5-night trip we did NOT get to see any sunset. But that was not Carnival's fault :-) On the negative size, we did not like the tender service to Cozumel. It was very poorly organized and delayed for almost 2 hours. Luckily we didn't book any excursion in Cozumel, otherwise we would have been extremely unhappy.

I was impressed with the ship, very clean and pretty. Also felt it was up-to-date with style. The staterooms were a nice size, the shower as well.

Wonderful time! Food was great. Ship beutiful and very clean at all times. Crew very professional and friendly. This is curise #40 for us and we have been on the largest to the smallest ship and this rates right up there with the grand ships for an econonical but nice cruise.

At first my cruise was going great, then I fell. After that nightmare. The staff in ninfirmary was not prepared to treat injury. Nurse responded to scene with cardiac bag, doctor did not see break on X-Ray and would not splint leg. Then it took over and hour for them to transport me to ER in Conzumel and getting me back on ship was just as bad. The cruise line needs to upgrade there equipment , I know not the first person to fall on ship so arranements need to be in place for wheel chairs . After returning to ship no contact for confort. My friends had to get food for me since room service is limited. No help offered.

The ship was very clean and well maintained. The outside stateroom was very spacious for two people. It had a nice size window. The bathroom was well laid out with a shower, sink and toilet. A nice size ship, not so big you get lost.

We just came back from a cruise on the Elation. It is one of Carnival's fun ships. We certainly had fun. We cruised to Key West and Cozumel. There was always plenty to do and see. They had great shows. These particular shows were great if there were any kids in the audience. They were very well orchestrated and entertaining. They also had a talent show that the guests were part of. We had some real talent on board! Not to mention some "not-so-talented" which added to the fun. There were also some adult shows available after 11:00pm which we did not watch. The food was wonderful, and plentiful. The restaurant service was next to perfect. There is nothing that I could say they should change to make it better. The wait staff was polite and able to give great service. When we arrived on board we had a problem with the time of our dinner. We had asked for a 5:45 seating, but was moved to 8:30 seating. We had no problem switching the times back as requested, and ended up dining with a great couple. We just waited one day and then the maitre 'd knew of an opening to switch to. The day in Key West was great. They had plenty of shore excursions to choose from. We enjoyed the Conch Train ride. It may seem silly, but we saw a great deal of the island and learned much of its history. Then we went to Cozumel. Prior to docking in Cozumel, we floated in the Gulf for several hours. That was unpleasant because the sea was rough. Many, including myself got seasick. The ships are unable to dock in Cozumel due to the hurricane damage from last year. You get to the shore by taking shuttle boats called tenders. That was not great because it was slow-going getting everyone off the boat. Once in Cozumel, we saw a lot of damage but there were still lots of things to do. Most of the choices involved snorkeling. We didnt' want to do that so we did the Mexican Folklore show. It was ok but not great. Still we had a great time. I do plan to cruise again on Carnival. They know how to do things right.

We traveled on the Elation WOW! what a beautiful ship. The crew are always there to help and greet you at every moment. The dinning experience is wonderful not only are the waiters friendly but they also put on a show fro you. The food was great!

Ship needs better signs for passengers to move around. Many times we were confused as were lots of others trying to find various venues. Cabin was good, steward did fine job. Room service was by far the best on any cruise.

I really enjoyed the cruise from the minute I stepped foot on it. The Elation is absolutely beautiful. I thought that the stateroom would be like a hole in the wall, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was just right for my boyfriend and I. I enjoyed the shows that were planned each night of the cruise, it reminded me of my trip to Las Vegas. I did however, did not of all things enjoy the port of call to Freeport. I think that with all that went on on the ship prior to porting gave a false impression of what was to be expected in Freeport. It is my recommendation that this port of call be eliminated and that the ship chooses another island to port.

Loved it and will cruise again

Don't buy the insurance! It doesn't cover food posining and will not do anything about the days you lose on the ship. No one will take responsability. The ship says it is the insurance problem, the insurance says it is BJ's problem and BJ's says it is the insurance problem.....and round and round you go,......DON'T BUY THE INSURANCE!

This was my first extended cruise and I can honestly say it was FANTASTIC. It was more than what I expected - REMARKABLE. All of the staff was wonderful, very helpful and pleasant at all times. The ship was much larger than I every anticipated. It was very clean and accomodating. There was nothing that I needed that I could not get. I was very impressive from the start of the cruise to the end of the cruise. I did not want to leave the ship.
