anyone that goes to Progresso BIG TIP:::: ride the free shuttle to the town, they sell excursion there. SAME AS CARNIVAL and 1/3 the price we paid $35 for an all inclusive and upon arrival saw people from Carnival that said they paid $85. Every cruise on the ship can be bought on the free bus ride into town
Ask your room stewad for a hair dryer before you need it. Sandwitches at the deli are fresh made/grilled. Had a Ruben that was better than most shore restaurants. Not a luxury ship - but is priced accordingly and I'd sail on the Elation anytime it fits in with our plans. All things considered A+
The Pizza bar at the back of Deck 10 is tremendous. You might have to wait a couple of minutes while they bake your pizza, but they have six or so kinds and they are all quite good. For the adventurous: try the mushroom and goat cheese (chevre). It's to die for!
We love dinner in the main dining room, but also the dinner buffet in Tiffanys is great! Oh and then the late night pizza after dancing the night away!
The fine dining room food was OFF the CHARTS! I couldn't understand why other people ate at the cafeteria style restaurants (they were always full) when you could eat free gormet and fabulous food for all three meals a day!
If you don't want to be bothered by the waiters selling drinks (and you are over 21), go to Serenity deck. They don't go there as much. However, if you want to have constant drink service, you may want to stay on decks 10 or 11.
Swimming with the Dolphins in Cozumel is well worth every penny. We had an absolute blast. Don't buy the unlimited drinks. The only day you get your moneys worth is when you are stuck on the ship the entire day.
Try to get a cabin midship, away from the elevators. Tip your waiters, bartenders and steward well. They deserve it! Most of the crew work for 6 months with no days off. As one group of passengers are departing, another is boarding, Take advantage of room service. BLT's and cheesecake at midnight!
we went to Cozumel and did the all inclusive resort at Cozumel Palace. It was awesome. Snorkeling , swimming. all the food and drinks you can stand in that short amount of time off the ship. wish we were there longer. 8 dollar taxi ride. there and back.
Thanks
The outdoor grilling area was excellent with the hamburgers and other choices like the hot dogs.
The breakfast area behind the grill area was excellent as we visited every day!!
Overall the cruise was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are not eating in the dining room you are missing a great treat. The buffet is great but the fine dining is just a few steps above wonderful. The molten chocolate cake is to die for!!
Loved the brisket and lobster!!! Wife loved the flat iron steak!!!
