Review summary

We had a wonderful time!  From the time we showed up at the port until we departed the boat.  The checkin was so easy and everyone we meet were truly nice.  The food was great, in both variety and flavor.  We had a grand time doing the "fine dining".  The buffet was wonderful for all three meals and snacks between meals.

Our room was very comfortable and adequately furnished.  I was leery of being on The Riveria Deck but the elevators were punctual and easy to get to.

We had a ball cruising down the Mississippi River, so peaceful!!!

Mexico was great but you could take Progreso off the destinations that you go to.  To much like a 3rd world country for my taste.  I have been to over 96 countries/territories so I am not a stranger to foreign lands.  Cancun would be a better destination.

We will be going again on this cruise if the price and the time lines up for us.

The only downside was that the lady making sandwiches on the Lido Buffet is way overworked.  She is there way to long with no help and it takes a long time (during busy hours and late night) to get your food. She is bustin her hump and the line gets longer...

Never saw frown the whole week, awesome staff.

Ship Quality

To many steps to up and down to get around the boat, on the outside. Still nice and easy to get around.

Ship tip

If you are not eating in the dining room you are missing a great treat. The buffet is great but the fine dining is just a few steps above wonderful. The molten chocolate cake is to die for!! Loved the brisket and lobster!!! Wife loved the flat iron steak!!!

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

To many beggers and street people on the beaches. Dirty little third world place.
