5 Night Western Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)
Sail Date: December 09, 2006
Ship: Carnival Elation
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple

Overall it was a good experience. Two days at sea were a little boring. Would do shorter cruises or ones with more stops. Having to use tenders were awful to access Cozumel. Communication was poor and they did not explain how long the delays were so passengers were left standing for hours waiting to board the small boats to shore. Advise doing ONLY cruises to places that the ship actually docks.

Don't try to book excursions with locals as the ship can delay you arriving on schedule. Best bet is get off the boat and rent a jeep - explore and pick and choose your adventures based on the weather and your time there.

Pros: The service and food were excellent

Cons: Using tenders was awful and slow. a 12 hour cozumel ended up being 3 hours for some due to delays with tenders. Won't ever do another cruise that can't dock at a pier.
