Go for it for you will be hooked. Be sure to get an ocean view room if you are able to swing it cause now that is the only way I think I want to cruise. Also you felt right at home being on the Carnival ships for you feel comfortable and down to earth.

Enjoy and take advantage of all the ship has to offer.

enjoy the spa

It was our first cruise and it was super fun. Loved it. But they lie in the casino. They tell you that you will receive a free cruise if you get so many points so you spend a lot of money miss out on the things I could have done on the ship. And when the cruise is about over they change and said I didn’t when a cruise when I got what they said I need. Five star.

There should be more information before you get on the ship so you know what to look for and what times they begin. We didn't know about seminars and tea time or things like that. Should send you something to tell of all areas before you get on

review layout prior to cruise then take time to get oriented when on board.

Wait For Elevators Can Be Somewhat Long At Times

To see the trip as an adventure so that any difficulties or long lines become just surface details woven into the fabric of the tale you tell in days to come and, this too, onboard a ship called the Dream, you should most likely enjoy naps!

The elevator area smelt like sewage.

Deck five has very quiet and secluded hot tubs, tables and loungers if you want to get away from the hub bub of the ship. We really enjoyed them more than the serenity deck because they also gave shade.

Prepare for long waits at the elevator, take the stairs if you can. If you do not smoke, the casino can be overbearing. The Serenity deck was great! No kids, no loud partiers—but actually serenity. The Community Tours: Giving With Purpose were eye-opening.

It looks like the spa suites would be the way to go if you can afford it because your fare would include access to the specialty spa amenities. If you're trying to stay on budget like us, don't forget that you can utilize the fitness locker room and it's steam room for free.
GingerCruiser
I was very disappointed.

Try and plan your days ahead, so much to do you could go crazy trying it all so prioritize for your specfic needs and wants from your time aboard.

The one piece of advice I would offer is to make sure your footwear has good grip! The floors can become slippery from the pools or ocean mist/Raina d can be VERY slippery. But nothing that can’t be overcome!
mcknz323
wear comfortable shoes. lol. just like every one of these long ships. Use deck 4 and 5 to get from front to back makes the boat seam smaller as you are not just walking down a small, long hallway.

Try Guy's burgers, by the main pool.

Bring you own soda and water. They nickle and dime you and we all know a soda fountain would not cost them much to install and maintain but they can't charge the 2.25 per soda or $60.00 for the bottomless soda card.

The super high mandatory gratuities are quite a shock for first time cruisers, to the point that we may likely never go on another cruise. Such fees should comply with the following, and I plan to write my congressmen and US Senator about them: 1) Written consent of customer should be required, 2) Customers should be able to specify and amount or percentage for gratuities rather than the cruise line deciding, 3) Disclosure of fees should be made prior to cruise purchase, 4) Cruise line should not be permitted to inflate market value of meals, or room cleaning. There is no way that dinner is worth $50, which I calculated from the gratuity amounts with held. I don't have to pay gratuities to have my hotel rooms cleaned, why should I have to pay gratuities to have my ships rooms cleaned? Answer: Carnival is being cheap and having us pay their employees, instead of paying their employees themselves.
