Review summary

This was my first cruise. I pursued this site and gathered very good information. This site was very helptfor the first time. The Cruise Bug has infected me! Cannot wait for the next one!!

Embarkation

Smooth and easy. All documents out and in hand.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Pre-breakfast: Room service with coffee, fruit, and danish to watch the sunrise. Breakfast: Seaday brunch in the Scarlet dining room. My favorites were banana nut bread, omelette, cheese grits, bacon and mimosas. Dinner: Late dining in the Crimson dining room. On port days, I ate the chefs food parings, which reflected the port we visited that day, it included drink, appetizer, and entree. The food was delicious 😋

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The Hot Stone Massage was to die for! It was so amazing! I am convinced I was hypnotized into buying a $75.00 bath oil afterwards! So stand strong if you plan on NOT buying anything—the ambience will weaken your defenses😂

Entertainment

Did not get to catch any shows due to late dining and excursions conflicted with the shows I wanted to see.

Children's Programs

No children traveled with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Marson our cabin steward was wonderful. We choose once a day cleaning and that was sufficient for our cabin...fresh linens, fresh towels and two filled ice buckets each day. The Crimson dining staff were my guys, Jacob and his crew (Ramon&Fran?)were AWESOME!! They were very attentive, made you feel like a Queen 👸!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
No issues with cleanliness....amazed that they are able to tidy up after so many people. My only issues was being covered with oil/soot at the AFT pool from the red fin blowing off steam—not sure if that was normal?! Put it washed right off!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Plenty of room for 2 ladies with 2 suitcases and 2 carry ons. Even enough room for one overweight lady to sleep like a baby in a twin bed. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. The balcony was AMAZING! Well worth the price. The balcony was where I went for quite time. The Pig and Anchor was below our balcony so there were people and activity but nothing disturbing.

Ship tip

Prepare for long waits at the elevator, take the stairs if you can. If you do not smoke, the casino can be overbearing. The Serenity deck was great! No kids, no loud partiers—but actually serenity. The Community Tours: Giving With Purpose were eye-opening.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We embarked by zones. I carried out my own luggage. They only hang ups were waiting for elevators! Since I am impatient I carried 1 wheeled Samonsonite and 1 duffle bag from floor 6 to floor 3....Will definitely pack lighter for next cruise.

Traveler Photos

I loved the look on Ramon’s face when he danced ! Our dining room staff (late dining:Crimson) were the absolute best ever! I could stay here forever! Spent a lot of time on the Serenity deck! Sea day brunch: everyday for me was omelette, bacon, cheese grits and mimosas! Caribbean meal pairing: jerk pork loin, rice and peas, and Palermo drink. Delicious! Could not leave without one last omelette.

fg921 - you, are a very informed cruiser! First time and you did research, read reviews, and probably knew what you wanted to do in various ports, and NOT do. Impressive effort! Hope your next cruise is just as pleasurable.
