Review summary

7 days turned into 8 due to hurricane which caused only 2 ports (other than New Orleans) with a total of 8 days. The sea days got old but the captain kept us at a safe distance at all times which is the most important thing. Captain Bovo has a heavy accent and seems to talk way too close to the microphone making it extremely hard to understand what he says over the intercoms.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth and fast, best yet. Scheduled times seem to help the lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Guy's burgers and BBQ added to this ship is a big plus. I never thought that I would want a burger on a ship but these are GREAT!. Other food is average for cruise ships

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Average for cruises

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We really appreciate comedians and such. The main shows seem to lack quality and just are not entertaining to us. Everybody has different tastes.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff was friendly. When you ask them about themselves and/or country they seem to light up.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Some issues with toilets in rooms and public restrooms that took a while to fix. Otherwise well done.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Larger than most inside cabins. Very comfortable beds.

Ship tip

Try Guy's burgers, by the main pool.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

2 out of 5
Toured the French Quarters the day before the cruise. Not really or style but a LOT of other people like it.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
One of my favorite dive sites. Good beach right at Carnivals dock.

Belize City, Belize Did not visit port

Storm brewing, port canceled for safety.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
If you have ever done a Western Caribbean cruise you almost certainly stopped here. Lots to do but is pricey for what you get. We have been here so much that it is old news.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The best and fastest ever. However, this is likely due to some people getting off at night as the ship docked at 9 PM. A lot of New Orleans residents disembarked then making a smaller crowed for breakfast and getting off in the morning when we did. No more declarations unless you go over any limits.

you're right about the captain, we couldn't understand anything he said over the intercom.
