MY GRANDDAUGHTER AND I RECENTLY SAILED ON THE CARNIVAL CONQUEST. IT WAS A WONDERFUL SHIP. THIS CRUISE WAS A GIFT TO HER UPON GRADUATION FROM HIGH SCHOOL. SHE HAD NOT CRUISED BEFORE AND IT WAS MY FOURTH. SHE WAS VERY EXCITED. WE LOVED THE BUFFET AND ATE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH THERE EACH DAY. DINNER WAS IN THE MONET DINING ROOM. THE SERVICE WAS REMARKABLE. WAITERS WERE OUTSTANDING AND ENTERTAINING EVERY NIGHT. WE ALSO LOVED THE SHOWS AND OTHER NIGHT TIME OPTIONS. THERE WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE TO DO. WE HAD A WONDERFUL CRUISE AND WOULD RECCOMMEND THE CARNIVAL CONQUEST TO ANYONE. CRUISERS FROM TEXAS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was overall a great experince...I thought that all the food was free on a cruise that was not the case...but the food was very good, beyond what I thought it would be....the intertainment was very good...the experince was worth the money...except for not sleeping well...I believe the all nite pizza place was above emy suite and it was busy till late at night...the stewarts were the best..joey one in particular was the greatest ...he allways asked how are day went and even sometimes how are evenings went allways made a creature for our beds and was always helpful and smiling.....

Peace and relaxation on the sea by CarolN1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The boat was beautiful and the room was always comfortable and clean.Would have liked to see more plug ins in the room. The dress codes were not followed as rules states, I mostly saw men in shorts and sleeveless t-shirts at breakfast lunch and dinner. The personnel as a whole were kind and helpful. The excursions are too costly for what you get. Alot of what you get is transportation cost which is timely and a lot of your time and cost is taken getting to your excursion. Gift shop nice. Food good and plentiful. Will travel Carnival again and use . Carol

I was impressed with the overall aspects of the ship except for the outdoor pools which were very small. Could never use them.

The Carvinal Conquest was outstanding. Every crew member from housekeeping to the Captain were always friendly and acted like that it was an honor to have you aboard and each and everyone went way above their duty to make sure your trip was a pleasure you would never forget.

An awesome cruise! by RonB9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship is beautiful and enormous. The shore excursions are a little pricey, but that is to expect on any cruise. While in Grand Cayman, book your Stingray City tour directly with Captain Marvin's (www.captainmarvins.com). There tours are top quality for half the cost. It is a short 2 block walk to their facility from the pier and the boat and equipment was the best we had seen in the three ports.

Paradise Found by RonB9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

THis was my first cruise and I was a little skeptical. But once aboard the floating palace I was instantly won over. Everything is there just waiting for you to enjoy. We will only vacation aboard cruise ships now, as a couple and as a family.

Honeymoon Cruise by CyndiS2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was large and beautiful. The decor was whimsical and enchanting. Although, it was a little confusing getting around the ship at times. Our room was very nice and roomy with plenty of storage space. Our room stewards and waiters were attentive and available. At peak times, lounge chairs were packed tightly around the pool areas and nearly impossible to get two chairs together near the pool. Alcoholic beverages were very expensive. More music around the decks would have been nice. I would prefer more beachy island music, rather than some of the selections that were played. The food was plenty but not excellent - not very spicy - more bland. Specialty foods, like the chocolate display, were so crowded, you would have had to stand in line nearly 30 minutes to get served on the buffet. Not worth it. At checkin time, we were sent away, and told to return later in the afternoon. We stood in line hours at the checkin (the ship was late docking), not fun. I would never do the 7 Mile Beach beach excursion in Grand Cayman again. It was a tiny roped off area of a small hotel, with lounge chairs packed tightly together from the water back to the hotel. Golfing in Jamaica at White Witch was awesome. The excursion went smoothly (except when our van returned to the ship, officials would not let our dirver enter the lot because of his van documentation not being up to date - so we had to carry our clubs and things from the gate). The course is breathtaking and the service was above expected. All of this came with a high pricetag - my husband played the course and I rode along in the cart. After tips and rentals, it was about $300.00 for him to play - but it was worth it. Overall, it was a good experience and we would cruise again.

The Carnival Conquest was a beautiful, newer ship. The food was very good, and their were too many activities to mention for me and my husband and our boys ages 17 and 21 didn't want to leave! We all loved it.

A Wonderful Cruise by StanleyM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were very impressed with the layout of the Carnival Conquest and the cleanleness. We were very satisfied with the quality of the food through out the ship. The most unfavorable impression was that there was no provision for the disabled to disembark the ship first. On this cruise we had to wait for over four hours, a very difficult situation for two senior citizens 76 and 82 Years old.

A Fantastic Time by JoanneF7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I truly enjoyed my cruise. The ship (Carnival Conquest) was absolulety a wonderful ship. The layout was great and it was easy to find most of the places I wanted to find. Our cabin was much larger than I had imagined, it was wonderfully kept clean by the cabin steward and the storage areas was extremely nice. The only drawback was there was no where to keep the luggage except under the bed. I had thought that our empty luggage would be stored for us but this was a very minor inconvenience. The resturants were all very good, the dining was superb and the buffet was great. We enjoyed the shows, they were very well produced and very entertaining! Our overall impression was great.

Good experience, even 2nd time around by AaronN

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Very large, lots of guests and places to roam around. Very good dining facilities. Seemed like it needed a bit more deck space (or maybe quality deck space) for all the people on board. I've done a similar itinerary, but i preferred key west over Jamaica.

My First Cruise by DebbieG3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We went on the Carnival Conquest and it was my first cruise ever. I was in awe when I first saw the ship. It was huge. Once we got onboard I was stunned by the interior. It was beautifully designed. When I got to my room I realized the refrigerator was locked. My friend told me that we could not get into it until the boat undocked. I was worried because I am Insulin-dependent and it must be refrigerated. The housekeeper was making her rounds and when she heard of my dilemma she got her boss and they immediately took care of the situation. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, clean and roomy. We mainly dined in the Monet. It was beautiful and the dining staff was excellent. Rick and Gersom were our waiters. They were fabulous. They were courteous and very professional. We were floored by the size of the gym. They had everything. Looking out and seeing the ocean while exercising was an awesome experience. The nightime shows were superb. It was great fun. I spent most of the time swimming, gambling, and shopping. We encountered and picked up some Cubans that were stranded in the ocean. Good job to the crew for their humanity in that situation. My only two complaints are that we docked at 8 A.M. and it took us until noon to get off the ship. We were told the delay was because of the illegal Cubans on board needing to be processed by Border Patrol. The second was before my excursion in Mexico. We had to meet in the lounge and I had to walk down five flights of stairs in order to get out of the ship and into the boat that took us inland. I was told there was no other way to go. I am handicapped and dependent on a wheelchair for even short walks. So walking down those steps was very hard and painful for me. There has got to be another way to get handicapped people onto that boat without endangering their health. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
