Review summary

THis was my first cruise and I was a little skeptical. But once aboard the floating palace I was instantly won over. Everything is there just waiting for you to enjoy. We will only vacation aboard cruise ships now, as a couple and as a family.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was great. The dining room service was A+ and the wait staff was the tops. Our waiter was great and knew which kind of meals to recommend based on our dining preferences. If you wanted to try something all you had to do was ask and he would bring another entree. The early seating worked well for us as we were used to eating around 6:00 pm back at home. After dinner we were able to enjoy all the activities and entertainment onboard. The buffet stations, pizza and deli were more than adequate.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The variety of the entertainment is suberb. There is literary things to do for all types of people. The shows were awesome, the games were fun and competitions a riot.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
We did not travel with our childeren, but the Camp carnival people were definately doing there job because we rarely saw the 500 kids onboard.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The entire staff was watm and friendly and inviting. They were always available to answer questions or give directions to other parts of the ship.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was huge and was very easy to navigate. Plenty of space for all 3,400 guests. There was always room at the pools and hot tubs as people were courteous about not saving seats and not uisng them.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had been warned by many on how small the staterooms and showers were before embarking. When we opened our room, we were pleasantly surprised at how large we thought our inside cabin was. The shower was blenty big for me (6' 175 lbs) and my wife. OUr room steward taught great care of our room and it was sparkling clean every day.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cozumel is still recovering from Hurricane Wilma and shows signs of damage. We booked an excursion to Passion Island and this was my favorite place. White sand beaches, hammocks, Coronas, lunch. It was definately relaxing. This is the same place they film all the Corona beers commercials. It is awesome. The shopping is okay, but there are LOTS of street vendors hawking their wares and services. Be prepared to say "no thank you" a lot.
Don't Miss: Passion Island

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
This was my wife's favorite port. We booked our excursion with a private tour company to Stingray City and were not disappointed. The stingrays are definately an experience not to miss. The snorkeling here was breath taking from the beauty of the coral to the schools of colorful fish. The shopping is great here with no street vendors. Get your watches here!!
Don't Miss: Stingray City

Montego Bay, Jamaica

3 out of 5
We were able to dock in Montego Bay and walk right off. I would stay away from snorkeling here as the next two ports have far greater snorkeling.
Don't Miss: Margaritaville and Jamaican Bobsled Cafe

Pros: Everything is right there for you!
