I am not necessarily a sun seeker, and it worked out that seeking the "shade" side of the ship really offered more choices of open chairs without searching and great views for conversation and relaxing, and reading.

Careful walking on the lido deck floors.... both the pool area and the marketplace floors are super slippery!

Expect to wait in lineups for everything. I spent 40 min in line trying to get the Mongolian and ended up giving up This is not the cruise line you get the big beautiful displays of food and exciting events First thing we bought on land was a veggie tray Keep expectations low and you will be fine

Be ready to do a lot of walking. This is a big ship and usually the elevators are busy especially with all the scooters and wheel chairs.

Don't board early! It is chaos and confusion, suitcases and crowds. Many more people than there are places to sit.

Be prepared for EXTREMELY long lines in every single thing aspect of the ship. Getting off at port was awful. However nothing comes even close to the breakfast and lunch lines. They were a nightmare!!! We waited 50 minutes for breakfast. This has to change if carnival wants to keep their guests returning. From here on out, I will not even consider cruising with carnival ever again. I have done many on carnival and wont even consider them again.

Plan where you choose a room. Some areas are definitely noisier than others. If you are looking for a quiet cruise on Carnival, it can be done but requires planning.

We had a cabin right outside 10 elevators and right outside the door was the overlook to the atrium so to say it was a bit loud was an understatement. That really is my ONLY true complaint
