Was our first cruise, but won't be our last. It's the best of an all inclusive resort, that moves to multiple locations so there is no boredom like there is on a small resort compound like in the D.R.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easy and quick. We dropped off our luggage a couple of hours before our assigned boarding time and drove to the beach and pier side of Galveston and enjoyed the sun and sand before boarding.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Pleasantly surprised with the overall quality of the food, even the buffet food. Breakfasts were great. The only room for improvement was I thought the 24 pizza was a great idea, but the quality didn't match the rest of the food.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Something for everyone, and non stop opportunities.
Entertainment

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room Steward couldn't have been more attentive or accommodating. Everyone was extremely personal and friendly, but I felt that staff at the Blue Iguana and Guy's Burger Joint were over stressed or active due to constant demand. They need larger facilities and staff, to allow them to be more interactive with the guests and less like stressed fast food workers.
Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The bed and pillows were quality, and I slept better than I could have expected with the extreme darkness, comfortable air conditioning (especially with the boost of bringing our own fan for extra circulation
Ship tip
I am not necessarily a sun seeker, and it worked out that seeking the "shade" side of the ship really offered more choices of open chairs without searching and great views for conversation and relaxing, and reading.
More a traditional Caribbean experience. Had a great breakfast in West Bay before a nice snorkeling tour of the reef. Finished the Day at Paradise Resort Beach.
To turn the ship, it is a remarkable what they do to get people off, and the new group on and out to see in such a short time, but the Disembarkation is not nearly as a good experience as getting on. I am not sure what can be done to improve it but it is the one experience that is not enjoyable.
