Fine for people with low expectations who just want to sit out on a sundeck and tan and not use a pool(sooo small)
It was fine for our first cruise but if we ever cruise again it will be with a different line that puts out stabilizers to prevent all the sea sickness so that we actually can be indoors and experience the events and bars
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Food was less than desirable
Main restaurant was ok but got seasick in there so we had to eat buffet
Raw veg were frozen if there were any
Lineups horrendous
Food choice was boring for breakfast and dinner
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Pools are a joke so small
Hot tubs would be nice if they were warm at night
Mini golf was fun
Splash park was fun
Movie under stars was awesome
Could only do ropes when we were docked it was so windy
Should have a fitness area (workout) teens can access not just the outside “ facilities” which are pretty poor
Tides Pool
1 out of 5
Pools are tiny
Entertainment
WE couldn’t sit in the boat we kept getting so sea sick
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
Having been to all inclusive hotels and all they offer these kids programs were very lame
Kids stuck inside either playing video games or doing their own thing
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room stewards were excellent
Rooms clean
Offered help when needed
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Carpet in main areas is so old and starting to smell.
Staff worked so hard trying to keep it clean but it is an almost impossible task
Ship design was poor the main stage Is at the front of the boat and it was sooooo rocky we couldn’t go in and see any shows
Piece of the exhaust liner fell off while sailing. We loved being out the back but after that it was blocked off for a couple days so I am not sure how well maintained the boat actually is.
The casino has no air filters so it smelled so bad of cigarettes we couldn’t go in there
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We were pleasantly surprised with the cabin
With a teen and a 9yr old there was enough space for all our luggage, and room to move
We used sea bands at night and never got seasick.
Ship tip
Expect to wait in lineups for everything. I spent 40 min in line trying to get the Mongolian and ended up giving up
This is not the cruise line you get the big beautiful displays of food and exciting events
First thing we bought on land was a veggie tray Keep expectations low and you will be fine
Absolute nightmare
Lineups snaking down hallways
No order
People trying to bud in
A claustrophobes absolute worst nightmare
Even people who aren’t normally nervous in tight settings were feeling the effect of being stuck in lineups with thousands of people trying to get off the boat
Take motion sickness precautions especially if first timers...the ship has stablizers and it looks like cruising is not for you...at least you tried it...many cant do it....
I was pleasantly surprised that I did not get sick since I can't deep sea fish - had zero problems with motion sickness but did feel some movement. You might try patches but you may be very sensitive to motion or seas were just rough. Sorry you had a bad time - maybe try a different time of year ?
Perhaps you just hit some rough seas on your cruise, or you are super sensitive to motion. But it wouldn’t have been any different if you were on a different ship/line. Even with stabilizers, which all these big cruise ships have, you will feel some motion in rough seas. Next time, go prepared. Bring Bonine, Sea Bands, or even get a script from your Dr for the patch. I even bought ginger candy to bring, but have never needed it. I just go prepared.
The Breeze has stabilizers. What you noticed probably could be felt on any ship. I don’t think I’ve ever felt I couldn’t go inside in all the cruises I’ve taken! As for small pool, that’s usually the case on all ships. There’s just so much surface area available that they can put a pool. Every ship I’ve been on in 4 different lines, the pools were small. And from what I’ve seen, the Breeze has a lot more going for it than a sun deck. As a matter of fact, the Breeze is my next cruise ship in March 2019. I usually watch plenty of videos on YouTube for whatever ship I’m looking at to book. If I like what I see, I book it.
