I was very happy and had lots of fun. You all make sure everything is clean and in order. Rooms were kept clean. Your employees are very polite and helpful.

Something needs to be done for us! by mirage24

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I do not have time at this very moment to contact the email address that I was given by your company during my 22 hour drive back to Arizona (after my 22 hour drive from Arizona to Houston) but I very shortly will. We were cheated through a comedy of errors, and I am disgusted. I cruised on Princess many years ago, and have cruised on many others in-between, but the chain of events that we experienced, I never, ever experienced with the others, and there is no excuse. I plan to take the very same cruise next year at the very same time. What Princess does to make up for this 'comedy of errors' will determine what I do with Princess. I will be contacting your complaints department shortly.

Thank you,

Andrea Jones

Not as good as the other two Princess cruises I've taken by stansburyal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The menus seemed less inspired and the food quality didn't measure up to my two previous Princess cruises.  Encountered a few rude crewmembers, but overall the crew was great.  The cabin steward, MaryAnn, is probably the best steward I've had on a cruise.

Good but a few hiccups by joesliepka

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall I was pleased but one crew member was not honest and that colored my opinion of an overall positive experience, even with a outbreak of stomach illness, over 100 passengers getting sick.

Caribbean Princes 7 day cruise out of Houston by spoteet

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Cruise was to Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras and then to Belize City, Belize and then on to Cozumel, Mexico and back to Houston.

We took the Eco-Walk and Beach Break excursion in Roatan.  The eco-walk took us down into a canyon in the semi=jungle with a lot of suspension bridges.  Didn't see much wildlife, but the walk was definitely interesting.  Went on to a beach that was really great, had some of the best beach and ocean sand I have seen. Many beaches have sharp rocks out in the ocean that are very hard on feet, but not here.

In Belize, we went to the Altun Ha Mayan ruins outside of the city.  Very interesting and our tour guide did an excellent job of explaining the Mayan history and culture.  A tour through the city wasn't all that great, bumper-to-bumper cars and bikes, and depressing to see so many people evidently barely getting by.

Been to Cozumel several times, so no excursions taken there.

As far as the ship, food was good to excellent, service was always good and staff as a whole was friendly.  Entertainment in the theater nightly was outstanding.  Took some lessons in ballroom and line dancing, joined in the daily trivia challenges, lost a little money in the casino, enjoyed the sun on deck, and generally had a good time overall.

Only complaints are that we would have liked to have had more listening and dance music, country and pop, in the evenings.

Overall, I rate it a very nice cruise, especially for the money.

Great Anniversary Trip by terrellsheila

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Excellent on sanitation and trying to control infectious illness.  Many food bars were closed due to extra servants needed on buffets. Entertainment was weak but night shows were good.

Average Cruise by elisebindseil

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a lot of fun on this cruise but compared to another Princess cruise, this one was just average.  Average food, and there was some issues with the staff.  I expect more from Princess!  The room was amazing and was kept very clean.  I was just a little disappointed in the food, it seemed to be the same food every day, not much variety, and there were a few staff members that were not friendly.  I would do more Princess cruises, just not sure I would do Caribbean Princess again.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The trip started with delays and ended with delays. The cruise it self was good . The breakfast was a not up to Princess standards. The evening meals were worth waiting for .

over all we enjoyed the trip, the ports were good.

Totally dissapointed by cargocowboy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

we spent extra money to be on princess and ended up with a very low end trip worst cruise we were ever on only up side are excursions were awsome the food was very low quality and the service at dinner was so bad every nite we would order ice tea and they would forget to bring it they would ask if you wanted more bead but never come back with it .  Buffets had a poor lay out pain in the butt to get your food .  The stores had nothing worth shopping for the other ships we had a lot of fun shopping. Entertanment around the ship sucked compared to other ships  l have never written a review before ever but we spent a lot of money and got nothing for it

caribbean cruise by maryatboyd60

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Had 2 emergency stops in Cozumel, Had good weather in 3 ports we visited.Arriving back in Houston was frustrating due to the inclimate weather and unable to disembark on time, but got to airport on time for flight so all was good. I was disabled prior to embarking and everyone was so helpful with the wheelchairs disembarking embarking, etc.

The Captain, crew and staff were 5 star. The port of calls were very interesting but the shore excursion guides weren't the best.  The food was 5 star also.

Great time by philrice63672

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was great.the staff was very professional and friendly. The food was wonderful. Roatan was our favorite stop and the bungalow that we rented on the beach was fantastic.

Mother nature did make departing the ship difficult however the staff was concerned for our safety and did keep us up dated with information. This was a great vacation and we can't wait to do another one!!!

LOSS OF LAST DAY REGRETTABLE.  CLOSING OF USAGE OF MANY AMENITIES LEFT A BAD TASTE AND DID NOT COMPLY WITH ADVERTISING OF A SEVEN DAY CRUISE.   WILL NOT TRAVEL WITH PRINCESS AGAIN.

Caribbean cruise Dec2015 by freefaller0369

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

great trip. Not sure where the 50.00 dollars a person went when you booked a mini suite. Never saw that money as far they promised you would get for onboard spending. Costa maya was not very exciting . Booked a power snorkeling trip and saw nothing but dead corral . The other ports were much better . Beliz and roatan

Lovely Cruise! by bignrichdreams

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My husband and I enjoyed the 7 day cruise on Princess. The customer service on the ship was outstanding, especially in the dining areas. Our steward Ronaldo was great! The ship was very clean and our room was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The food was really good but there were a few repeats on some items and we got tired of them after a few days. It would have been nice if someone was walking around the ship in certain areas with appetizers or treats. The food was always available in The Horizon Court. We would definitely do this cruise again!!!Love

Good but not great by Landlubber

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Very much enjoyed getting away for awhile on Caribbean Princess. The first day the sea was a little rough but the next morning all was good. The food in the buffet was fair. I found the dining rooms to have much better quality. The staff was,for the most part, very good. Our room steward did a great job. The bed was uncomfortable and she did all she could to help. She put a mattress pad on the bed but it's hard to fix a worn out bed. Each of the ports were interesting. Went on excursions at all ports and had a good time with the locals and the other guests. Good food and good fun. Overall we did have a good time after the morning backache went away.

Unexpected failure by privet

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We  always thought that in a stressful situation "Princess" would do everything possible to ensure safety and satisfaction of its passengers. But we were very disappointed when in an expected and not at all unusual event the company failed 100%. Passengers like us arrived to the terminal around 11 a.m. on November,29, for boarding.and were directed to the truck scale area. We were told that the ship was delayed and asked to join the line of cars. Security guards who were there knew very little or nothing at all of what was going on. They were speculating and saying unpleasant words about "Princess". Not a single company representative ever showed up to talk to the people sitting in cold cars who 've been waiting there for hours. There were no WC for so many people, no food or water. I like many others can not understand why we were not told to leave and check into hotels. Many had insurances to cover costs. And it was very easy to bring water bottles and some food like pizza to the people if they wanted us to wait. But absolutely nothing was done or said. At about 16.00 we decided to leave, we could not take it any longer without WC , water and food. At the fast food place we met other passengers who were upset and their travel agent was trying to get some information from "Princess". The truck driver at that fast food place told us that the ship won't come, he spoke to his buddies on the radio in Galveston. Amazing, that the driver knew more then the cruise company. Finally the travel agent told her people to check into the hotel and we decided to make sure it was correct and drove back to the terminal. They were loading people on buses and I was told to leave. So we checked into the hotel together with other people from that cruise. Everybody were saying bad things about the way they were treated. We got a 800 number that was supposed to give us updates. I called at 7 a.m. next morning and the info was still from 16.30 the previous day. At breakfast  one guest told us that the ship was in the port, her travel agent informed her. Embarkation was a mess. On the ship itself nobody was waiting to direct people to the restaurants or elevators. We got info about the sit down restaurant from a passenger. We asked several crew members on the way and they knew nothing. At the safety drill we were harassed by a woman doing the drill who was extremely rude trying to push us to the corner into the wall by squeezing a big fat man on a seat instead of bringing a chair for him. We bought the cruise because of Grand Cayman and Costa Maya. We skipped Cayman and had very little time in Costa Maya. Our cruise was 1 day short and it was very stressful. We returned back exhausted and not renewed. The compensation they provided was just onboard credit for one day. We believe it is not enough. We expected at least 25% off future cruise plus to that credit. We were given 50 dollars back pay by the travel company but could not use it. The tour I planned to use it for got cancelled.

Disappointment by shellyandbilly

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My sister and I have been on this cruise back in April of 2014. Same ship, everything. I loved it so much and bragged about to my husband and everyone who would listen that I decided to take my husband on this one. (We usually go on Royal Caribbean) I was so disappointed this time. The food was not good. The service on deck was horrible. The shows were mediocre. The public bathrooms were dirty. The smell in most of them were horrible. Our room (L225), The knob on the fridge had been broken off and was laying on the counter. The bathroom floor was all cracked up and weak. There were a couple of times my husband felt he would fall through it. The railings in the halls were breaking off. One actually fell off in my hand. One of the swimming pool railings broke off from rust and was laying to the side of the pool. One day we were in the Horizon for lunch and two of the employees were actually arguing with each other in from of everyone and slining trays in the kitchen. I was told this ship was made in 2004 so it's only 11 years old. I can understand the wear and tear from so many people but come on. I don't know what else to say other than I wish I had not gone on this cruise.

Delayed Start and Delayed Ending by patrickseeker

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

To "No" fault of the cruise Princess, the cruise got off to a late start because the ship was an hour late getting into the Houston Terminal.  Then to finish the cruise

the Harbor in Houston was closed coming back because of Foggy weather.

The hospitality during this delay was spectacular.  I thing some sort of rebate for those inconvenienced would be in order.

Our Thanksgiving Cruise on the Caribbean Princess by Aquarius

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a great time on our cruise, as it turned out it was an 8 day cruise instead of a 7 day cruise because of fog that rolled in on Saturday evening and closed down the Houston Ship Channel. We arrived back in port on Monday early AM; all the ship's crew and staff handled this "new adventure" amazingly well under the circumstances and our captain Nick Nash kept us well informed as to the status of our progress and the conditions until we arrived back in port.
