Q: Trying to get reservations at specialty dining restaurants as we have unlimited. On app it is telling me there are no reservations available. Does this mean they are fully booked or that I can’t make reservations until on the ship?

A: I just checked my app - 219 days to go and I can book reservations. If you just downloaded the app the give it a day or 2 then try again, I’m sure it will work.

A: In the past any reservation make for a specialty before boarding the ship had to be paid for at the time of booking. Now that there is unlimited for the Premiere dining I’m not sure how they are handling reservations. What you can do is call the Prin... cess 800# and listen to the recording for Ocean Ready and they will be able to help you. The only other thing I can suggest for you to do is as soon as you get into your cabin is call the dining reservation line.See More

A: I have seen multiple reliable reports from people saying they were told that only about 50% of reservations are made available on the app in advance, and the rest are held for after boarding. But definitely call the dine line from a ship phone as soo... n as you board to make the reservations you want so you get the times you prefer.See More

A: If you have Princess Plus you’ll be able to use it 2x at either the Gastropub located in the Wheelhouse Bar, Planks or Steamers both located on deck 15 near the buffet area. All three you’ll need to make reservations for by calling from your cabin ph... one or stopping in when they’re open. I enjoyed the casual atmosphere and the fact dinner service didn’t take two hours!See More

A: I think on that ship, you can use the credit at the steamers seafood or the planks barbecue. I also heard the sea day pub lunch is now for-charge, so that might be another option

A: I have been on several Thanksgiving cruises and Christmas decor was being put up as we were disembarking if they weren't up already.

A: When I have been on cruises over Thanksgiving, they were putting up the Christmas decor almost immediately as we were departing the ship if they weren't up already.

Q: We got off a 13N repositioning cruise on Caribbean Princess from Ft. Lauderdale to Quebec City on August 4, 2023. I noticed that Princess charged us the $16 crew appreciation on the 14th day which is the day I disembark… Is this new? I thought we are only paying gratuities based on number of nights, not number of days on the ship. To me, that’s double-dipping. The guests embarking will also pay gratuities on their first day though none of us received service for a full day. Anyone has any insights? Thanks.

A: Might want to look at the date of the video. We were on the Caribbean Princess in May. No mention of them being closed. They were serving breakfast and lunch in the same area as Planks and Steamers. Thy are at the back of the ship and used as part of... the buffet during breakfast and lunch.See More

A: We disembarked today and want to confirm that both of these 2 restaurants are still closed for specialty dinner despite the ship being sold out. Yes they only use the space for Lido buffets.
Answered by jcmomi on August 4, 2023
A: Those restaurant venues were not active because post-covid low guest numbers and short staffing made them impractical. Maybe now with full ships they will be operating again. It doesn’t seem to make sense to close some venues for numerous cruises bec... ause of a norovirus incident.See More

A: $20 per person for 1/2 day or $40 for whole day. We got a cabana for $220 total for whole day (2 people) which came with a 6 pack of pop and 2 bottles of alcohol (they give you a choice) fresh fruit and afternoon tea. We did 1/2 day in loungers on... another day. You get lunch, pastries and tea (if you’re there in the afternoon) regardless of what you book (lounger, cabana, or clam shells). WELL WORTH the cost, but high tail it up there to book so you get a spot. You can only book once onboard and if there are B2B passengers they will of already had a chance to book before you arrive. We had priority embarkation and I was the 3rd in line to book and we were able to get the times we wanted. Others were not so lucky.See More

Q: Anyone know if when we get off ship carribean princess in Quebec City on august 5 , will we be able to fly back to United States without a negative COVID test? Has anyone from United States flown from Quebec City recently? Did you need a COVID test? Was it easily accomplished if you did need a test.
