My first cruise.  Had a fantastic time.  Hope to be able to go again.  Can't even begin to explain what a great time I had.  Highly recomend Royal Caribbean to anyone.  Everyone there was so friendly and helpful.  Brilliance of the Seas is such a beautiful ship.  I could not believe how much there was to do on board.

Great cruise overall by bmeathome

Not my first cruise so I knew what to expect from these ports and ship. Staff was friendly and attended to every request I made. Specialty restaurants are a must, especially Giovani's and Chops, but I personally avoid the buffet in the Windjammer. Nothing is wrong with the buffet, I just don't like buffet food. The spa is of good quality, and always a great place to loosen up. Pools tend to be crowded on clear days, but the solarium pool is usually pretty quiet during the day. Do yourself a favor and purchase the drink package. It may be $65 a day, but 100% worth every penny.

Good trip by suzangaw

loved the ship! Great food, and entertainment. Recommend eating at the buffet. Our cabin was nice but very noisy due to location. It was 7094. Music from the centrum played until midnight . Okay if you want to be kept awake that late. Will get a different cabin more art or forward. Loved the solarium! Enclosed heated salt water pool. Adults only. Snack bar, adult beverages bar, great on a rainy or chilly day! Staff also very helpful and friendly

25th Anniversary Cruise! by joegulledge605

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a GREAT time on the Brilliance of the Seas!  Staff was super and the ship was awesome!  Cruise director Tim Conner was outstanding.  The musicians on the ship were first rate!  The Kronos Band was the highlight musical group for us.  Top 40 charts... they can play anything!  Best 4 piece band I've heard.   Food was good, but not great.  Bar service was exceptional.  Traveled with a group of 18 total and had an outstanding time!

The band Coronas is awesome. The bartender Mladdin is the best and Danillo was the best photographer we have ever had. The rotating bar at the top was really neat.

WHAT WENT WRONG by xco1948

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Christmas day, 12:25 pm (approx) we, my wife MaryAnn, age 84 and I, 85, entered the Windjmammer from the aft opendeck. The doors were propped open, not in the automatic open mode. There were fans on the floor blowing  across the floor supposedly to dry the wet floor tiles. As we passed the first food station MaryAnn slipped and fell flat on her face like a dead body would fall. Her nose bled and was red, her front teeth mashed her inner top lip. The crew members in the area quickly called for the nurse and she called for a wheel chair. They then closed all the open doors. She was taken to the infirmary and her head was x rayed, There were no broken bones. Never once did anybody apologise or offer compensation. From then on she was sore all over and black and blue. She found it harder to maneuver on the ship.

The food should be brought up to a higher standard in the Dining Room.

Otherwise the crew was very polite, friendly and attentive. Our waiter Parm'  and helper were excellent. (table 300).

Brilliance of the Seas by EdLevesque

I went on a Christmas cruise and was a bit disappointed with the decorations on the ship.  I have been on several cruises and overall I found the activities schedule very lean and overall disappointing.  My dining experience on the ship was average at best.  I enjoyed the meals in the dining room but was disappointed with both the speciality restaurants and the buffet.  What I found most upsetting was the limited availability of food on the ship after 9:30pm.

The highlight of this Cruise was the Chef's Table dinning experience on the ship and

our excursion to Cozumel, where we went to Discovery Park and learned about Coco beans and Tequila.  We got to make a chocolate bar and sample different strengths of Tequila while learning about the barrels they mature in.  We were given a Mexican lunch and a pole show of men swing down from the pole along with a tour of the park to learn about Mexican History. This excursion a five star +

Could have been better by andrewfleitman

Although there were many things that were great about the cruise, the one parting gift I cannot overlook is the Norovirus I contracted from being on board (google it, it's not fun). I don't know if it was from the ship not being cleaned properly or if it was from an extremely undercooked piece of steak that I ate from the dining hall, but needless to say I am going to have to really reconsider which company I choose for my next cruise vacation. I am very disappointed because I have cruised with Royal Caribbean and celebrity before and both have been great vacations.

RC does not disappoint! Brilliance of the Seas is an excellent ship! A+++++++++++++++++++++++++ by msrmec

This is our 6th sailing on Brilliance of the Seas.  Living in FL it is so conveniently located in Tampa.  Embarkation and disembarkation was quick.  The fastest and most organized embarkation and disembarkation on a cruise line I have experienced.  This stateroom attendants and entire RC staff caters to your every need.  You feel so important.  As a smaller class of ship you can feel the family atmosphere of the cruise employees.  I highly recommend this ship as well as this cruise line.  I only sail on Royal Caribbean.  They do not disappoint and I will be back again and again.

Fun Overall by bigredtina

It is a beautiful ship!  Our cabin was great! The food and service were very good...the quality of the shows were a little "cheesy" but entertaining.  There is too much time getting there and not enough time at the destination...we discovered that we did not like being on the boat as much as the destination...not RC's fault!

Brought a family and had a great time.  Stopped in Cozumel and Key West.  The boat was a comfortable size for the 5 night/ 6 day cruise.  I would reccomend.

Never being on a cruise before I wasn't sure what to expect.  the crew was gracious, friendly, and very helpful.  There was plenty to do on board for a variety of tastes and interests. I would recommend Royal Caribbean to anyone that is in the market for a cruise.

5 Night Cruise out of Tampa by Cruiser438

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our first time out of Tampa.  Parking was a bit of hike to walk from lot to terminal, but pleasant.   Boarding was good, although some new health form to fill out before you board the ship.   Temp was a bit chilly but we stayed for the departure party and were amazed at how close the ship comes to the bridge.    Key West was fun and Cozumel was great.   Excellent Cruise for everyone.

Awesome experience! by sgokare

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Cruise was good. However, we felt that many more things should have been included in the price.  Was not happy that most activities had to have additional charges such as pilates/yoga sessions  and even freh squeezed orange juice at breakfast!!!

Great time pool bar service slow.  Bartenders worked hard .....just too many people for them to handle.  Waited 15 mins for a beer at times

it would be great if you could project activities on the big screen so we can watch from the upper level

The ship is beautiful and well maintained, there is a lot to do at both ports. Shopping, site seeing and food in Key West - shopping and excursions in Cozumel. Try Salsa Salsa with endless Margaritas and 6 kinds of Salsa for great fun and value.

Vacation Fun by Cruiser175

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Very nice cruise and a  fun time. Be sure to booked your anytime dining early. Need more things to keep me busy during the day. The pools were nice but needed another pool for the number of people who uses them on at sea days. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food in the dining room was excellent and a great variety
