We didn't do an excursion, just walked around the port and had a snack at one of the restaurants. Not a very clean or interesting port. We did always feel safe. Would definitely do an excursion if we ever go back to Belize.

We book a LOCAL cave tubing excursion with Butts Up and loved it for half the price of the same excursion offered by the ship. They carried our tubes and stayed on the river longer. Lunch was good and transportation was excellent.

You have to get on a tender to get from the ship to the port. The water is beautiful, jade color. The shopping is just okay. No excursion this time.

Beautiful snorkeling on the reef. Took excursion separate from the ship to Caye Caulker, stopping at the reef to snorkel with the sting rays and sharks. Followed by lunch on the Caye and shopping.

We loved Belize! The tender wasn't bad at all (20 mins I think). We took another tender to Goff's Caye (about 40 mins), which is a very small, but beautiful island! We went snorkeling in the clear blue water, ate delicious Belizean bbq, and drank all the rum punch we could handle. I highly recommend this port and this excursion!

We did cave tubing with Butts Up and it wasn’t a favorite. We didn’t know that it’s an hour drive on a bus to and from the cave. Once we arrived, there was a 20 ish minute walk to get to the cave.

ugh. even cruise director said if you don't book a tour [which i didn't] there's NOTHING to do on your own. a LONG tender ride to pier. usual shops. can't really walk to town. waste of time for me. those who booked tours said bus rides were long, uncomfortable. and felt rushed when at destinations.

Did an excursion from Carnival....$59 each to Starfish Island.Overcast day....got a lunch.Said there would be floaties but none given....disappointed and didn't have much time on the island as expected..2 1/2 hrs.Back to the boat and could have taken a trip to visit the city but felt there was not enough time to do that.....but cautioned about the safety in the city so didn't.

I took the Calypso Train Tour. It was culturally very informative. However Belize is a poor country and it shows. It was the only place that I got a little nervous about being alone. The vendors and beggars there were alot more agressive than in Roatan.
