Mazatlan was our 2nd stop .We made it a beach day .You will get bombarded of locals selling you everting under the sun.Make the best of it.And remember they like to barter over the price.Offer half what they want and start from there. We had a good time enjoying the culture.Do your shopping here.

Very nice old town. We visited the old part of town, which is very nice. If you know Spanish, you can probably take a cab and visit this area by yourself saving the tour cost (make some research before you go). Also, if you want to buy some souvenirs , go to the flea market on the back of the port, it is cheaper and the carry almost the same stuff.

Best shopping - cheaper than P. Vallarta - more of a laid back atmosphere compared to P. Vallarta.

This port is really dated. Debarking from the cargo terminal makes the whole experience that much less attractive.

We got the most pleasure out of visiting a neighboring village of La Noria. This town had the old, laid back atmosphere that we feel Mexico is really all about. It is not commercialized for tourists.

This is Mexico! Wonderful people and artisans. We loved this port. Much to do, depending on your mood and likes. They offer it all here. We heard great reviews from folks who took the 4WD tours. We really liked the 3 city tour.
