What menu item do you really look forward to on a cruise ship ?

For me it's eggs Benedict. I only eat it sparingly during the year, and not at all if we have a cruise coming up. I know I am going to have it at least two or three times Wink over the course of seven days. The Gem buffet prepares them to order, as does the Breakaway. As good as they are there, we prefer to enjoy them in the dining room ?

Another vote for the sinfully delicious Chocolate Melting Cake aboard Carnival ships. I remember when this was only offered once per cruise – it was so popular they had to make it available every night!

I like the prime rib on the elegant nights on Carnival - haven't tried the chilled soups yet, and haven't even seen breadsticks on the cruises we've been on. The deli Ruben sandwiches are better than home made, but maybe I'm just a lousy sandwich maker. Lol

Carnival Hot Melting Cake Big Smile RCI has Salmon wrapped in pastry crust that is very good. Just about all the food on Celebrity is very good, they put out a good steak on formal night.

We’ll have several answers to this question, but the first thing that leaps to mind is the breadsticks in the main dining room aboard any Celebrity cruise!

Chilled fruit "soups", specifically the mango one on Carnival.

I like the lamb shanks, I don't do them as well as I should, so wherever I get the chance I order them at a restaurant and always order them in the MDR.
