I am happily married to a man who loves to travel just as much as I do. My husband introduced me to cruising and now I'm addicted.

Past cruises

Carnival Vista

October 2017 - 6 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Vista

Carnival Sunshine

October 2015 - 8 Night Eastern Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

GOODTIMES SUNSHINE

I love the Carnival Sunshine. The ship is large and very clean. Nowhere was too crowded. We stayed in a balcony stateroom on the Lido deck #9214. Perfect location. The only downside is that there are never any cabanas available in the Adult Serenity Deck because people leave the cabanas but leave their personal belongings behind to hold their spot.

Carnival Victory

November 2014 - 5 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Victory

NOT MEMORABLE

The ship was not as impressive as the other Carnival ships that I have cruised on. There was no Guy's Burger and Off The Grill does not compare to Guy's. There were not many restaurants either. We picked this cruise just for the ports.

Carnival Glory

March 2014 - 7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Glory

MY FIRST CRUISE

I cruised on the Glory for my very first cruise so I didn't have anything to compare it to. Now that I've just booked my first cruise, I feel like I can make a helpful review. I booked this cruise myself not really understanding deck plans so I booked an ocean view stateroom on deck 2 (Riviera). The only downside to being on deck 2 is you can hear the noise from the ship being docked at port early in the morning. Overall it's a great ship. You have to get a burger from Guy's Burger joint. The only thing I would have done differently is pick a balcony room or a room on a higher deck

Cruise tips

Carnival Sunshine

Carnival Sunshine

Don't be afraid to book a room on the Lido deck in fear of the noise.....there is none...we stayed in a balcony stateroom on the lido deck #9214.....we were close to the fun and food but the layout kept the noise away

Miami, Florida

We stay near the airport or the port and we book our hotel through priceline or hotwire

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

We wanted a beach experience...enjoy the ocean, lay on a beach chair under an umbrella, drink rum from a fresh coconut and eat jerk chicken. We ended up at ROOMS beachfront resort. The water was filled with seaweed and the food was terrible. I was shocked that people paid to stay there

Miami, Florida

We always fly to Miami (Miami International Airport) the day before the cruise. There is a Bacardi Restaurant in the airport that makes the best mojitos. We book a hotel that has a shuttle through Priceline. The hotel shuttle will pick you up for free but you should tip the driver.
