Horrible Travel Advior

This is my first cruise with Silversea cruises that I have booked and it is a long cruise which I have some questions. Has anyone experienced having a Travel advior who was terrible with this cruise line? Never calls back, so I call the main line and leave a message with his colleagues for him to call me back and still don’t hear from him. My final payment is due and now I am questioning if this line is as good as they write because so far has not been my experience. Has anyone else had a problem with their travel advior/booking agent?

We had a TA who handled ALL of our travel arrangements for the family. Due to Covid, she has moved on to something that can pay her rent. Her associate is good, but not as good as she was. They are improving so time will tell. I do however, deal with a consultant at Princess, she keeps in touch with me weekly and she is a Gem. In all customer service businesses, dedication and caring are a huge factor in the return of business and relationships. So aside from "hopefully" a couple of all inclusive trips planned, my next cruise is early 2023. Maybe the world will be a little more reasonable by then.

Sorry for not posting more often, My computer crashed and I am using an old unit just to keep up. Take care team.

Never cruised with them, and never dealt the pain! Carnival cruise support is always good!

Sounds like you need to go to a different agency, maybe where the good ones have moved on to?

We've had good ones and bad ones. The good ones seem to move on and go to other agencies, the less capable ones seem to linger. When I get frustrated, I would go to a direct booking to cool off, then go back and find a new agent for the next one. Frustrating.

Well, now that the thread has finished taking its usual lefts, right and meanderings,(or has it?) I wonder what the poor OP who started it decided to do? Cyber is good for that, as we all know....

I book with Vacations To Go, never had a problem with them. I've been working with the same agent for years, he's fabulous!

Queen;

Likewise here. I once got a young snot who tried to lie to me about a cruise. He didn't last long after my customer service review to management on his performance. Thereafter he was replaced with a TA who had many years of service with VTG and has given me many years of prompt, courteous, and helpful service. A good TA is professional and worth their weight

in gold! They will solve your problems, and get answers promptly. It's their job and their

livelihood. Appreciate them!

We have been using our TA for the past 10 years. She is awesome and never fails to go above and beyond even after our travel is over. She is a keeper.

If y'all read the OP's original posts, it appears his TA is just this side of being a crook. Might even be one. TA's ripping folks and organizations off is more common that anyone wants to admit...You folks may have had amazing experiences on board with SILVERSEA ships, but unless he reports back that all is well, he may never actually get on board. Put yourselves in his shoes...Send em MORE $$????? Really????
