Carnival pulled the plug this morning on their Funville Forums. A lot of cruise information was dispensed by experienced cruisers, myself included. Mostly about Carnival, but a lot of general info too. Many of us bonded, and joked and often became snarky in our responses. We had fun. Sad.

Carnival pulls the plug

Wow....was not aware of any of those issues going on, but glad to see new cruisers coming over anytime. Welcome!
Hey, Ctav!!! Love your puppy and Cromp's dog, too!!
Another FV member here. It was a great site that was allowed to get out of hand. I learned a ton of things about cruising there and made some great friends. I even got to meet a fellow Funvillian on our last cruise. I was an active member for the last three years, and got in on the end of the "glory days". The friendly snark became personal attacks and it went downhill from there.
We are Carnival loyal simply because it fits our budget and our laid back cruising style. We try to cruise at least twice a year, and have to watch the dollars in order to do that.
This seems like a friendly site with knowledgeable folks. I've lurked here for awhile and learned a few things along the way. Happy cruising to all :)
Hey Granny!!!!
Nice to see you here!!
I remember this avatar and stole it back from the person that stole it from you. He was a jerk.
Furbabies, are like my children now too. We have 2 cats. I am more of a dog person, but I was adopted on 2 separate occasions by these fellas, so I guess some one had another plan. lol I love them and wouldn't trade them for anything. I am already kind'a concerned though that I'm starting to plan a family cruise in November of 2017. Who's gonna take care of them? lol Yep, I'm a Mom!
Hi Bak. Sure missed your avatar of your beloved dog. He was so beautiful.
Thanks. We miss him every day. We miss all of our "kids" that have left us. Jake is our last right now, and we are enjoying his presence. When he goes, we will restock. But not until we take about a month to ourselves. We are considering several dog breeds. B is leaning towards another Shiba Inu, I am keeping our options open. Roscoe was his first dog having grown up with cats. My family has always had a dog or two. We will probably settle on a dog and two cats. That seems like a good balance. Four cats was too many. For us anyway. Circumstances will determine what we end up with. B wants to cruise Alaska for a month, camera bag in tow. Me, I just want to relax so I'm thinking Bermuda for a couple of weeks.
Time will tell.

A more familiar face :
I think we have found a new home - thanks for welcoming former Funville members.
Hi guys. It's me, Riverdale ( Cromp ). You didn't recognize me without Roscoe as my avatar. Over here we use our cat, Jake. Nice to see you over here. This was my hideaway from FV.
I'm a former Funville member too. We only have only been on a few cruises and loved each one. Sure wish we had started cruising years ago!
i found FV really helpful at first, but I didn't like the ugliness and personal attacks, even threats towards some members that were allowed to get out of hand. In my opinion, it was a shame that the mods couldn't spend more time actually moderating the posts, instead of waiting until members reported things to the mods and if that didn't work, to their supervisor.
Looking forward to more cruises, and learning more about cruising from everyone here.
I know you.
