Had open seating for dinner and that made it very convenient. However, we felt it took too much time so ate at the buffet mostly. Some better choices in the dinning room, but the food in the buffet was great. All drink purchases had an added gratuity (15% I think), so no need to tip.

For Open seating, we just booked a reservation from day to day and never had to wait to eat in the dining room.

Go to the Vista Restaurant for breakfast , lunch, and dinner--it is amazing and no extra cost...But try the Italian restaurant one night, it's only an extra $10 each. Stay forward, not aft. The front of the ship is least moving, although there is not a lot of motion anywhere--it is very stable!

Remember its a rolling ship and life isn't supposed to be like it is at home. Be flexible , even in bad weather you can have good times, don't be afraid to book your own excursions or don't book any and find your own hiking. I used Port insider , didn't see whales boo hoo but glaciers were great

Eat in the 'formal' dining room each evening. It only takes a few minutes to dress up - but it makes the cruise a very special event.

If you have mobility problems or like being served, eat in the dining room for all three meals, a great feature for older people.

Never have a room under the pool !!! The wood floors are loud any time tables and chairs are moved. Take bubble bath for the whirlpool!!! Look for northern lights and announce it to pax so we can see them

Older ship but still in good shape. All the workers were very helpful. Don't waste money on the spa since the management won't help you get a heated lounge if some of the guests remain on them for more than the 20 minute limit. $240 per couple is lot to spend for apologizes instead of action.

We enjoyed open seating in the dining room but the service at times was very slow and we sometimes had to go to the buffet where the quality of food was not quite as good.

For best choice of cabins/suites, be sure to book very early - more than 6 months in advance. Also, be sure to book your shore excursions as early as possible, especially if you want to go whale watching or to visit a dog sled site, Ditto for booking the "Evening at Le Cirque" at the Pinnacle Gril

We had open seating and never waited for a table. We met some very interesting people and I love that. Only one night did it take so long that we had to rush to the show.
