A: thank you for your answers. I meant to ask what is the temperature of the interior of the westerdam kept at. for instance in the dining room, in the theater, in the casino and in our state room.

A: Our state room was stuffy and hot despite having it on the coolest setting. Same with the buffet area. I couldn’t wait to get outside to cool off. Other interior areas were a comfortable temperature IMO.

Q: Are nice jean for men and women with a dress shirt / blouse permitted at the specialty restaurants and main dining room on non-formal nights on the Rotterdam Alaska cruise ?

A: Holland America do not have self serve laundry facilities, however they will wash, dry, fold or hang anything you can fit in the blue bag in your cabin for $20. It is quite a good deal actually as I have spent hours waiting for machines on other shi... ps who do have self serve, Not Fun!See More

A: Almost all cruise ships have laundry facilities and a great many provide dry-cleaning services. (at an additional charge)
