Holland should be up front and honest about everything, I had to pay 31.00 bucks a day for "tips" which I am not opposed to but should have been made aware of this prior to booking the cruise. I purchased a "internet" plan 130.00 that was worthless, I didn't buy the drink Package so I had to pay 7 bucks for 2 cups of coffee. How much is a lb of coffee?? Every turn was more money for this, more money for that, such a shame.

We enjoyed everything, just the food did not meet our expectations.

Had a wonderful time. The age demographic of the passengers definitely skews on the older side, so no wild late-night discos. But that equates to a quiet relaxing vacation, which was exactly what I wanted. Would highly recommend this ship and this itinerary.

Great but next time we will do Princess to Alaska.

Great trip overall. Alaska scenery is gorgeous. Holland staff is extremely friendly.

This was covered in the comments but it was a great cruise. Wonderful for older families and service was excellent. Entertainment was disappointing. Only downside.

Great cruise! The day we were at the Glacier was unreal. Weather was crystal clear blue skies. The boat was able to get up close and stay for a long time there.

This was our first cruise as retirees, and we could not have been more impressed with Holland America. We will definitely choose HA in future whenever possible. I can't imagine better food, entertainment, programs, and service for the price. Every port was fun, and the Hubbard Glacier was an experience of a lifetime. We had great fun on the ship - it seemed like they had planned all the onboard activities just for us. We loved Alaska and the cruise.

This was a great cruise with lots of learning and experiencing of Alaska. I would recommend the cruise to anyone looking for a great, friendly ship that goes to the popular areas of Alaska.

The statement should be double check before get off the board, we confirmed the statment is $1932.26. But we are charged $2181 in when we came back. We are supposed to arrive in 8:00 AM based on the shedule Cheapcrusies gave us , but it turned we arrived in 8:30 PM. Cheapcruised is misleading and fraud marketing.Holland American guest service mentioned they arrived in 8:30 PM since this season started. We requested for refund. but so far we didn't get any reponse.

We had a very enjoyable cruise with my brother and his wife and my sister and her husband. It was our first cruise although none of the others had been on a cruise before. It was a great time with our family.

We love Holland America, the quality of the rooms were wonderful. The only thing I wish the ship offered was more activities for my older children. The staff was perfect, they could not have been better

I enjoyed the relaxing pace if the cruise. We skipped Victoria port, since we arrived so late in the day. Would have been nice to arrive a couple hours earlier.

The worst cruise I have ever been on. A waste of my $3000.00 total. That's including taxes and port fees.

If you like to be bored and spend a lot of money on uncharges, this cruise is for you. Besides feeling like I was on a floating old age home, the entertainment was great, haha. If you like spending two weeks at sea with nothing to do but play bingo, watch movies, eat, and sleep by the pool than you might like sailing with Holland America. Personally, I would prefer more than one thing scheduled to do at night. Staff is very friendly, but then again they should be since you might feel like jumping off to swim to shore because of boredom.

Very good cruise but felt not as fully expected. Fully understand having to pay for alcohol bu not able to get a soft drink or bottle of water without charge - plus 15% - to me is a grab for money. Lots of attempts to up sell - by bottle of wine not a glass, buy products from spa, etc. Also thought the “sail away party” would have been that with a few drinks included but the special occasion drink was still a $9 extra. Enquired about a bridge tour and was told a $150 fee for a behind the scenes tour and minimum of 4. Again another money grab in my opinion. Gala nights were “odd” - apart from the Captain’s Toast Monday night there was nothing more “gala” apart from the suggestion to dress up (not all did) and the Friday night, there was nothing else at all to signify. Seemed lacking, I expected something “gala”!

it was met all my expectations overall. natural beauty scenery, it is so nice.

The ship is really not impressive in any way. A ports were mostly high rise buildings. If you take a tour you can can see a little of the country side. A few of the trips were worth the money, others a total waste. If you truly want to see these countries do not attempt to do it on a cruise ship. Please note that the cruise line gives this rating an overall 2.4 out of 3. It is not that high in reality.
